Our main contact for the remaining work left the company. This is now 3 personnel we’ve worked with who are gone without a heads up. Harrison never told us he left until we reached out for an updated schedule - which we still don’t have. We have windows to be replaced, trim to be replaced, flooring to be fixed, tile to be fixed, walls to be painted, mold from water in the attached pictures and Harrison still hasn’t provided a schedule or corrective plan. *Reminder, we moved in at the end of 2021 and the 12 month warranty work is still outstanding.

EDITED April 25 2023:
We were scheduled for "nail pop" repair tomorrow. We were notified today that the workers would not be showing up because they were scheduled elsewhere. This was supposed to be a one year warranty item. We moved in December 2021. We're now going on 16+ months. We have MANY other punchlist items that still have not been completed. You can tell the subs they hire are gig workers and rarely follow through with scheduled appointments because this isn't the first cancelled appointment we've experienced.

We paid almost $900K for this build and the follow through with Harrison is TERRIBLE. Terrible is actually an understatement. We were also told by Scott Hudson (today) that he would not be meeting with us to discuss getting the home completed. Avoid using Harrison at all costs. We are not the only ones who are complaining, but we are the most vocal!!

We’ve been in the house for about a year and the flooding continues. JMB has “fixed” the issue … maybe 4 times now? Our belongings continue to get ruined due to the flooding (which occurred again last night).

I do NOT recommend Harrison Homes. They are the equivalent of used car salesmen. Great communication and promises until they had our money. To start, they built us an 8 month old home that has now flooded 5 times. They are refusing to send someone to actually FIX the issue. There have been two failed attempts with a landscaping company and many texts apologizing for the “mess”. This is just ONE of the MANY issues we had with this company. Another issue was the fact that we went through 4 project managers during our build. Imagine the lack of continuity there! Pictures below show the “quality” of work in a few areas. Save your sanity and marriage and find another builder.

We bought our first Harrison Home 5 years ago in Brookhaven. We loved the home and the quality work from Harrison that we chose to hire them to build our new home. The entire Harrison team is great to work with from design to permits...we love Harrison. Highly recommend!!!

Harrison Homes Atl will blame COVID, but it’s integrity and attention to detail they and their trades lack. They pass the buck, stopped responding to our texts, calls, and warranty claim emails. They’re just trying to run out the clock on the warranty period. We’ve dealt with Craig, Andy, Brent, Blake, Connor, and now even Scott (the owner) without resolution. Now Scott is claiming we owe money and interest for work not complete. Just ask Brent (their former VP of Custom Homes - who quit without even saying he was leaving - found out via an out of office response - that should tell you something)!

Run, DON’T WALK, away from these used car salesmen. They just want you in the door and then they’ll ghost you or turn your words around and deny their own words. They even blocked me on social media when I posted truth (photos). Feel free to respond to me here and I’ll happily try to help you avoid my mistakes.

Update - Sept 2022:
They've now stopped responding to emails and requests for updated closing information. The work has stopped beyond what I've been able to coordinate with some of their trades (landscaping specifically). At least those companies are honoring their commitments and warranties. I'll post more photos shortly.

Update - Jan 2023: basement flooded for the 7th time. Some drywall, baseboards, and portions of the particle board at the base of cabinets are warped, crumbling, or have paint just falling off. Communication has been terrible the whole time. I get a short response for every 4 attempts at contact. I suppose I’ll just go over there each morning until something good happens. I hired another (4th one) home inspector to come look specifically at the grade where the flooding is occurring. It took him about 4 minutes to see the problem. Weep holes installed incorrectly, therefore grade placed incorrectly, and the JMB Landscaping fellas put the grade, French drain, and irrigation controls in wrong. No oversight and no quality control from Harrison (or JMB Landscaping).

Update- June 2023. Per an email that I got yesterday from the warranty manager at Harrison, Connor, they are no longer honoring our signed warranty agreement from a couple months ago and are now trying to place the blame on me. I’ll keep updating this. This isn’t even about the mold I had to discover after I randomly developed autoimmune health problems.

But my review remains the same: RUN, don’t walk, away from these guys. Added more photos of the mold “repair”. (Read: they didn’t repair and basically tried to hide the mold.)

We absolutely love working with Harrison! We just finished our 3rd build with them over the past decade. We were very fortunate to find Harrison back in 2009 for our first home and the experience was such a great one that we used them again for our second, and just finished up our third build with them. My husband and I just bought a new construction home built by Harrison Homes. Harrison is a builder who we had studied over the last several years. We observed the high quality of their work and finishes and when we saw two new construction homes going up in Brookhaven (hard to find) we were excited to learn the builder was Harrison. We had a great experience as Harrison and specifically, Fernando Buzeta, our builder, was attentive to every detail. happily making changes and adding items that were important to us. Fernando has been attentive to every detail and to ensuring that we were not just happy, but "delighted", with our new home. My husband and I have had experience with a number of builders and we were surprised and "delighted" with the quality of service and attention we received from Harrison and Fernando.

When we found Harrison Homes, we had been looking for the right builder for our home buildout project for at least a year. Most builders we had found and contacted had engaged us in this frustrating dance of initial interest and eventual ghosting. In retrospect, we are so glad it didn’t really crystallize with those previous builders because Harrison Homes treated us like their number one client from the very first meeting.
Ken Warlick came to our old home and carefully listened to our needs and trusted Brent Jay to directly manage and oversee our project. Harrison Homes is one-stop-shop kind of builder so you aren’t left on your own for any part of the process. Their architect finalized our blueprint plans after only a handful of meetings, their interior designer assisted us making material and style decisions through the project and Brent was 3 steps ahead of every single phase and decision made the entire time. Harrison Homes finished our home ahead of schedule and Brent was there to personally make sure not only that our project was diligently completed on time but also that it closely adhered to all the rigorous city permissions needed (we passed all permissions without any issues), that everything was according to our agreed budget (if it’s not, they will warn you), and that it followed the necessary quality control checks. Brent exhibited a superhuman ability to manage the many details of every construction phase and did so with professionalism, patience and great attitude throughout. Brent is genuinely a good and honest person and we feel blessed to have worked with him. We know we were not the only client they were working with at the time but they sure let us feel as if we were.
We did experience a hiccup with one of their (now former) vendors during the construction but Harrison Homes quickly remediated the problem and it did not let it affect our timeline. You have to understand that when building a home, there will inevitably be some things that can go wrong and the way your builder responds to those challenges makes all the difference. Harrison Homes will listen to your needs, they will translate them into the home of your dreams and they will continue to have a client relationship with you even after your project is completed.
We now own a beautiful, customized, spacious and efficient home. We are beyond satisfied with our experience with Harrison Homes and we recommend them to everyone that comes to us for a referral.

We recently closed on our home in Brookhaven Commons and could not be happier. Our home is so well built and Harrison adds little details that other builders simply would either ignore or up-charge for. The standard finishes are amazing and upgrades were fairly priced. The project managers on-site were very hands on and truly care about the homeowners. Harrison Homes goes above and beyond to ensure homeowners are happy.
