We are satisfied clients of Gunkel Architecture. We enlisted their services to design a remodel of our 1940 bungalow in El Cerrito. Brad Gunkel was warm and approachable. His past work matched our desire to create a new home using sustainable material, is comfortable, and modern. He and his team quickly came up with a design meeting our needs. He suggested sources to look for fixtures/tiles. He followed building code requirements in our city and made visits to our city’s permit department to ensure all permits were in place. Brad is a skilled pro, and he was quick to resolve issues as they arose. For example, because we were particular about our new windows, he accompanied us to a dealer to select the right kind. He worked closely with both our engineer and contractor. He was sensitive to our desire to keep costs down. We love our new home and we have happily referred him to several others who expressed an interest in remodeling their homes.
