I reached out to Grizzly Bear Architecture after I had a previous architect start my TI submission for my permits. The previous architect’s designs were not approved! Once I started working with Charles, I knew I made the right decision and that he would expedite this process. His attention to detail and knowledge of what I needed to get approval was a relief. Anytime I reached out to him with questions he was always attentive and patient. I always felt at ease knowing he was confident with helping me achieve each and every step through this process to receive approval with the Building and Safety Department and the Health Department. After having a bad experience with our initial architect, my wife and I were in dire need to find a responsible and professional architect to lay out the plans for our business. We feel very fortunate to have found Charles Matthews, not only because he’s highly knowledgeable, but he got us back on track. He’s extremely experienced with Santa Clarita Building and Safety city codes and has an easy going nature. I called Charles for structural advice regarding a home I was purchasing. I needed a master suite designed, but first, the home had a lot of red flags. It had an unpermitted structure possibly located on leech fields. Charles helped by pointing out inspector fines, septic tank issues, and city water fees, among other things. He also explained the extensive permitting process and that could ensue as a result. He thoroughly discussed best and worst case scenarios with me, and was clear and easy to understand. It was obvious that he is very experienced and knowledgeable. I didn’t end up buying this particular house but would definitely use Charles in the event that I need an architect. I highly recommend him.
