Love our DR Horton Home! We were updated the whole time by our agent and have been so happy with how our home turned out. The warranty side has been fantastic, and they have even helped us when we were outside of the warranty period. Wyatt at DHI Mortgage got us a great interest rate and was so helpful throughout the process.

Worst experience of our entire lives buying a DR Horton home. The quality of the homes are complete trash. If my husband and I could give zero stars, we would. For the sake of yourselves and your families, do NOT go with DR Horton homes.

**UPDATE**
Have lived in our home for a little over two years now… almost everything has gone out or failed. The air conditioning and heater unit has failed. Dish washer, and water heater have both gone out. We are very gentle people and take very great care of our home. We cannot comprehend how so many things have failed this early. I can’t express how many tears have been shed. So much emotional disruption this house has caused my family. We have had sleepless nights where our house has reached 92° because the AC failed and our pipes froze or driving 30 minutes to our closest family members house to bathe our children. This first time home was suppose to be wonderful for our young family and it has been the complete opposite. It truly is a hell house.

Their warranty is a nightmare to deal with, especially if you have to work with Steven. He personally told me two things he would fix and then disappears off the face of the earth. Many people in this neighborhood have issues with flooding, leaks, mold, and more. Be very aware while shopping in this neighborhood.

I purchased a home from D.R. Horton and had a great experience. I referred them to my relative. Apparently D.R Horton has changed their priorities and no longer care about their customer and only care about money. So if you want a builder that cares about your buying/building experience more than money. I recommend you somewhere else.

Been on the wait list for about a month now. We were pre approved for a Beechwood, and found out today it is now $20,000 more than what we were approved for. After talking to a representative this afternoon, I now find out by the time we get a call for the house off the wait list, we could actually end up in a bidding war and not get a house at all, or we will have to pay even more! So what is the point of sitting on a waiting list and being pre approved I thought this was going to be a great first home for our family, and we've been working our butts off to get here, just to have it taken away at the last minute. I don't think DR Horton really cares about getting families into their homes.
