Nothing like being in a parking lot doing wash and seeing flagger force sitting about outside of their truck doing absolutely nothing as if they have nothing to do. Then they have a friend who pulls in to the lot in their car then they proceed to sit in the car and talk for quite some time as if not having work to do. Then they friend leaves and they proceed to sit in their flagger force work truck for quite some time as if having no work to be doing.
……. Do better flagger force and control your workers, watch your workers more closely and make them actually work for a paycheck. If I or my wife did that we wouldn’t have a job, there is no excuse in the world to be lazy and not work if there’s work to be done. Then the previous friend who was their talking with the crew comes back yet for a 2nd time and they yet again pile in to the car to talk… apparently rules of employment just doesn’t mean anything to flagger force as they don’t get penalized for not working. absolutely ridiculous

On 3-19-25 after 9am at Valleybrook Rd and Baltimore Pike in Chester Heights PA, those traveling from Chadds Ford area heading towards Media, along Baltimore Pike were stuck in unnecessary traffic due to Flagger Force staff lack of experience. The ride from Chadds Ford to Media is typically 20 mins, today it took me 45 mins. First of all, a half mile up before 'construction site' (traffic light being changed), they used a 'Lane Shifts Right' sign to prepare drivers. Well this was incorrect as you got about 5 yards before the site, the big lit arrow was directing us to merge to left lane, this meant they should've used 'Right Lane Closed' or 'Lane Shifts Left' sign at half mile before. This is a big difference! People knew this was incorrect because no one moved from their lanes until they got to about 5 yards before as the right lane started to closed. Secondly, as I sat there for 10 mins, they were allowing all other traffic ways ahead of those coming from Chadds Ford area. Only like 5 vehicles at a time were able to pass on my side. With 16 wheeler trucks that travel this route also, the traffic was backed up for at least 3 miles, if not more. One of your staffers finally realized it as he looked up the road. I know that this company is basically a monopoly in southeastern part of PA but please train your staff better with the signs and have a supervisor on duty with better experience.
Yup I. M.
Do not I repeat do not work for Flagger Force 16 crappy dollars an hour to risk your life standing in traffic with a stop slow paddle, no breaks so you starve and do the pee dance on the side of the road for 8 + hours.

They require us employees to be 15 minutes early to the job site, but we aren’t paid for it, that’s illegal and I’m spreading the word that we need to file a class action lawsuit against FF I’ve already spoken to an attorney.

Edit as a response to the corpo suit response: Way to strawman right off the bat. Your SAFETY INSPECTOR LITERALLY TOLD US ALL IF WE DIE YOU CUT TIES WITH US AND THERE IS NO COMPENSATION!
"Have respect for the families.." HEY MORON, THIS IS HAVING RESPECT FOR THEM, IN FACT ITS SHOWING EVERYONE HOW YOU SCREWED THEM AND HOW YOULL SCREW FUTURE EMPLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILIES. Everyone here reading this knows souless corporate entities like yours fight tooth and nail to not pay more than they have to, especially when it comes to something so sensitive such as a wrongful death. I didn't say anything that wasn't true, you have nothing in place to help workers who are killed working this job - at least that's what your safety guy in the beginning told us when we got onboarded at the cringy "flagger force academy" where you morbidly get told "sorry, you die it's on you"
I do admit there is no contract. I remember this, despite signing a bunch of things that I nor any average human could have recollected, because I actually called their dispatch asking for more hours and they said they legally didn't have to
The Company itself basically exists to take advantage of desperate people who often cannot find employment elsewhere. The policies therein the organization are specifically designed to take advantage of workers desperation by providing jobs that seldom benefit the average workers in question while maximizing profit margin for the company itself. I personally had hope that I would be able to work an honest job, with decent hours, and fair starting pay. The hours given to me by OSC have been beyond subpar and not only don't provide enough hours for myself to pay rent, but not enough to eat. The company is a testimony to the predatory nature of "second chance" employers. It is truly a depressing era in American history if unethical companies such as this one can attribute to homelessness, evictions, starvation, and even the endangering of employees simply due to promising work where there is none to give. The app system is also insanely unethical. Flagger Force functions by putting jobs on the "job board" where workers literally fight amongst themselves to see who can click the job the fastest. The loser, despite waking up at 5 am to attempt to get work, now has no way of making funds that day while legally being bound by corpo polices that will punish him/her if they seek employment elsewhere. When I personally addressed some of these issues with the Operations Service Team I really didn't get anywhere besides "sorry, we can legally take advantage of you and other desperate Americans". OSC offered no counsel, no alternative avenues for myself to get more hours, or even a real, human apology by the telephone operator. These factors, along with the fact that how dangerous this job is, ultimately reveals just how much of a mistake it would be to work for this company. This leads me to my next point which is compensation for the families of workers who are fatality injured while working this job. It was literally made clear at the beginning of getting employment here that if a person dies while working (this has also happened) the company will most likely blame the victim despite the circumstances then never address the family again. There will be no compensation for funerals, no compensation for grievance counselors, or even a set amount to help their family. This job is clearly extremely dangerous in many circumstances and scenarios, the fact that there is literally nothing in place in company protocol for the death of an employee is beyond draconian. The last point I want to bring up, a point that OSC also did not care to address was the fact that the company literally requires employees to drive up to 50 air miles in a day or be punished for a refusal. One could argue that it is in the "contract", however that does not make it reasonable. My second week I was tasked with driving a total of 348 miles over the course of two days. I would receive no compensation for tolls and just enough compensation to cover my gasoline usage.

ZERO STARS. Drivers are DANGEROUS and can't read basic street signs: Look at the reviews below and you'll see they hire ANYONE. SUPER DANGEROUS. Truck number 20151 is going to cause an accident!!!! Get them off the road now!!!!!!

The crew in Elkins Park on Township Line Rd a month ago were doing a fantastic job. Your one employee now at Township Line Rd and Greenwood Ave (10/7/21) is terrible. He doesn't use a flag, your stop/slow sign or even a radio. I can't read his mind. So, I have to sit there intil he looks at me and flexes his fingers. To his credit, he doesn't look exasperated. He must know how bad he is at his job.
