We had a great experience with Fairmont Developers for an extensive renovation of our townhouse in NW DC. This was a yearlong project and they've delivered it on schedule. Work included a 3rd story addition and extension, and dig out for the basement foundation in addition to new HVAC system, appliances, bathrooms, multiple decks and rooftop terrace.

Fairmont Developers provided a detailed line-by-line breakdown of the work and projected costs, and stayed within the constraints of our budget. They worked well with the architect/structural engineer throughout the process, were patient with the long DCRA permitting process, and us (the homeowners) to select paint colors, flooring, and kitchen/bathroom fixtures.

Fairmont Developers team led by Jose and Carlos handled all aspects of the renovation - from coordination with subcontractors, inspectors, and utility companies to flooring, tile, and painting. Jose provided constant updates and information on progress and arranged regularly scheduled walk-through meetings to review and make decisions on any changes or outstanding items. Carlos was always available to review items and offer recommendations, including ways to solve some of the challenging aspects of the project. Fairmont Developers' staff was dedicated, pleasant and courteous, and went above and beyond including waiting after hours for utility company to show up, or check and replace a faulty pump over the weekend.

Jose and Carlos did a great job coordinating with neighbors to provide updates on upcoming activities like dumpster delivery/change or elevated noise from digging machinery and cutting.

We're extremely pleased with the final result of the remodeling (photos attached), and would highly recommend them. If you are looking for an ethical, honest, respectful and hard-working construction company that is both experienced and know how to deliver on time and stay within budget, give Fairmont Developers a call.

I recently completed a full renovation of my row house with Fairmont Developers, and I couldn't be happier with the results. “Quality, schedule, and price: pick two,” is the classic saying. Instead our project was completed ahead of schedule, just under budget, and the quality of the work was excellent. And that includes an expanded project scope that came up when we discovered large issues with a neighboring property.

Fairmont was incredibly flexible and easy to work with. They were always willing to listen to our ideas and make changes as needed. They were also very responsive to my questions and concerns.

Fairmont’s foreman or a partner subcontractor was on-site on average more than five days a week for the entire many-month project. This allowed them to keep a close eye on the work and make sure that everything was done to the highest standards, and if not the first time, they made sure it was redone. Unlike several neighboring projects, we had no stop work orders, no neighbor complaints (complements actually), and all our inspections were successful.

I would highly recommend Fairmont to anyone looking for a home builder or doing a major urban renovation. They are professional, reliable, and they do great work.
