Finding appropriate and acceptable housing in the Frostburg University area is far and few between and Evergreen Associates is no different. My experience has been that the apartments are run down and dirty and the maintenance is extremely subpar. My son lived in an apartment where the plumbing leaked and the maintenance staff asked for bread to stop the leaking that was never resolved. The apartment smelled musty and when I moved him out one of the room's was still flooded after months. Appliances are run down/old and instead of fixing them, they are rigged. Most windows don't work properly. My son's front door didn't lock. They don't paint when one tenant moves out, and bug spray is a must when you live there. Ants were everywhere. You MUST photograph every inch of the apartment prior to your son/daughter moving in and once you leave. Evergreen will take every measure to deduct from the deposit and trying to get the owner Brandy to return a call proved to be an impossible task.

Since they took over our park. They have suck all the life out of it. Water rates raised, rent raised, reused to keep the roads passable!!! Refuse to tear down run down homes, which now harbor rodents. They also refused take trees that threatened to fall on our homes, or clean up the ones that have fell.

Worst management. I moved out of the apartment three months ago and I have been calling them for my security deposit ever since. My husband is a displaced worker from the paper mill. So we are in need of any source of money right now.
The lady, Tracy, is “never at the office” when you call her. She never calls you back even after leaving 100 of voicemails. Last time I spoke to the guy at the front, he said she wasn’t there and when I started to get angry, he put me on a hold and came back saying he spoke to her and I should receive my security deposit by June 30. So she was at the office, just avoiding the people. Now it’s July 16 already and I still haven’t received my security deposit check. I called the office again today to see what was going on. I received the sane answer that she is not at the office.
I don’t know what to do and it’s frustrating to be honest. I just want to talk to someone who is in charge and know what is happening with my security deposit check.

I lived with them in two different apartment locations for four years, and honestly now I’m amazed I made it past one. The buildings themselves were fine, but god help you if something breaks. I’m writing this the day I leave and as of writing there are multiple things in this apartment that are broken or need maintenance, all of which were reported months ago. Every time this was brought up to the managers, they blamed the maintenance staff, who are apparently not managed by the same team.

Even after a change in management a few months ago, the problems remained. Their team has major organizational and communication issues that made dealing with them a hassle every time I needed to. Only consider Evergreen if you’re prepared to deal with problems yourself.

You’ll get charged with things you didn’t do, for example we moved in and the microwave was there, we moved out and we left the microwave, got charged for microwave removal. We were told to not return our keys, so we didn’t, got charged for not returning our keys. Don’t rent from them, we didn’t have heat from november on they had someone come “fix” it every 3 months and it never worked. Asked to have our dryer fixed because it wasn’t working. We went 6 weeks without a dryer because they never sent anyone

I cannot express how grateful I am for all the work the staff of Evergreen did for me. I'm going into my last semester of college and in the previous semester I was doing an internship in D.C. I was not able to be around Frostburg to search for housing in person. I contacted Evergreen and they were extremely adaptable to help me find me a place, and a single apartment at that. Mr. Witter stayed in contacted with me the entire semester, and even went out of his way to meet with me on a Sunday afternoon when the office is closed. The customer service well surpassed what I expected and what I had dealt with other housing companies. The staff is flexible and very friendly, and the apartments are clean, quiet, and close to campus. I would recommend Evergreen to anyone looking for apartments in Frostburg.

#NoStars. Overpriced. Resided at Evergreen from 2010 - 2012: If it the property had not premium at the time compared to other rentals in Frostburg I would not have stayed. Management was horrible. (Ashley was the worst.) They were very friendly during the lease signing process, but afterwards hellions--rude and very unprofessional. I informed management that my dishwasher leaked heavily every time I used it, and maintenance never attempted to fix it.

Evergreen has been making Pine Crest Trailer Park a cleaner, nicer place to live. I feel very safe here for my daughter and I. I had fallen on some hard times and they helped me through it. I've seen alot of changes in the past 2-3 yrs.
