Garbage company. I would rate lower than one star if I could and this from a guy that never leaves reviews of companies. There is too much to list here so I'll just go over the highlights. Purchased a home in 2016. Blue prints called for fake dormers on the roof. These are the little pop outs with a window or vent to make it look like the home has a second story. They're pointless and for aesthetic only. They have no structural element and must be hand built on top of the roof once you roll the trusses and install the plywood sheathing. I say all this to illustrate how easy it would've been for Epick to just not build them on the roof.

When I requested this, Epick operations manager replied that they 'could not accommodate the request but homeowner could remove them after close of escrow'. So they went forward with the process of building unnecessary fake dormers that their customer didn't want and would've actually made their job easier to eliminate.

If someone reading this thinks to themselves, 'well they have to stick to the plans approved by the City of Chico', the City of Chico building department would not care about non-structural parts of a house. If you changed square footage or added windows, they would care. For this, I know for a fact they would not care. Epick refused a simple request for no reason.

Other than that issue, there were many more issues with the house I won't go into detail about but their response to these issues was terrible. I had to redo the plumbing under almost every sink. I've had to replace several components on the toilets. The cabinets were chipping after 8 months of living in the house and their response was that our finger nails chipped the paint and they're not responsible. We got a second opinion and was told they did a terrible job on the paint and neglected to apply a second coat.

I would rent an outhouse before buying another Epick home.

Recently purchased an Epick home as the second homeowner. We had some questions about paint colors, warranties etc and called their main office. We had the information back to us in less than a day. They were easy to deal with and sent us a list of the subcontractors from the jobsite along with the warranty material. The house is a great floor plan and in great condition after 6 years.

Make sure you document EVERYTHING! They take their sweet time on doing repairs and then they postpone the major ones as long as possible. It's been 2 years since we bought and 1 year since our warranty review and repairs are still not done! You have CONSTANTLY stay on top of them or else you are "forgotten." Do not reccomend these homes, they throw them together so fast and then do not take care of the ones that give them a pay check!!

Love our home and the neighborhood. The build process was stressful as first time homebuyers but the sales staff helped calm our nerves. We have been in our home 9 months and had a few items to report for our warranty and they were handled in a timely manner.

Been here six years. Their workmanship is subpar, they obviously build on the cheap. Their warranty is a pain, it takes multiple efforts on the buyers part to get them to move on anything. If it isn't a leak or a major problem good luck getting them to respond.

I've thrown the lawsuit mail out every time. But I am beginning to think I will join it. I could care less if the lawyers get most of the money as long as Epick has to pay a huge sum of money for their poor quality.

I will never buy an Epick product again. If something needs to be fix I will handle it myself or with quality work. Not the kind of work Epick does. They are only interested in cramming as many houses as possible in the smallest possible area and then ignoring the warranty calls.

Probably will never buy again. Poor construction, it's like they just threw it together and house was filthy when we moved in. When you buy a brand new home you expect them to have it professionally cleaned before you move in. It took me 2 days to clean all the dirt and dust off everything and had to vacuum and mop as well. Very disappointed. Make sure you take lots of pictures in the first year of all problems you might have, and continuously stay on top of them to get repairs done or they will never get back to you.

Horrible experience! Bring your own realtor. Builder is biased and has different rules for different buyers. One buyer can go on their property at any time without representation. If you catch a mistake (WHICH YOU WILL) you’ll be targeted and prevented from looking at your home without having one of their realtors with you. Don’t trust ANYONE in the model home!!!! They will tell EVERYONE your business. For example the minute after signing a contract someone within that office called my neighbor and told him! They literally have zero boundaries. Very unprofessional if you ask me.

We bought a home we loved, great neighborhood etc.
Now that we will be selling after 6 years, the carpet is all stretched out, tiles cracked and we see the workmanship was poorly done.
Love the styles of newer homes but be careful.
