Greg Ignacio has done a wonderful job with a massive kitchen remodel in my home. He has stayed within the budget that was agreed upon and when needed adjusted his work to fit our schedule. He was willing to help pick the best appliances for the kitchen size and has been able to do most of the work himself. We have been extremely pleased with his work and would recommend him to anyone without reservation.

Over the course of four years, Greg with his American Construction has done everything imaginable for us. From building an entire 500 sq' art studio perched on a hillside, re-doing 4 of our bathrooms, building 3 new decks, to even laying a 300 foot long sewer line, he is simply amazing at how much he knows and the care he puts into each project.
Working with him has been fun too. He has a great attitude, tells some pretty good
jokes and is always ready to step up and go the extra mile. He is simply a bonus experience--rare these days among general contractors.
A secret I'll share. Ask him about his "Pepsi Man"-- if you want to see the fun side to him right away.
We will be working with Greg on many projects in the years to come.

Greg just finished a kitchen and bathroom remodel for me, and the work quality was great and he was totally honest with his pricing on time worked and material charges. I don’t know the person who wrote the bad review four years ago, but they must not be talking about the same person, because my experience was no where near what they were talking about. They have to be confused with someone else.

Never again. Greg (American Construction, General Contractor Ojai, CA) proved himself to be a man of many traits. The traits I am referring to are but not limited to dishonest, con/scam artist, sloppy, poor quality work, lacks knowledge. I rarely write such negative reviews, but when someone intentionally straight out rips someone off, like Greg did us, it has earned to be briefed on publically. Even when confronted with proof of his unbelievable gouging for materials, Greg refused. Instead he made alteration to the beams making them un-returnable. He later told me he received an adjustment on the price from where purchased, but our bill was not adjusted. We not talking a few bucks, NOOO we were overcharged $342, and the beams weren't even treated, like we wanted. This is only one example, there is more wrongs to this story and proof for it all, like the $800 over the proposed price, but this is a review, not a story line or blog. I highly recommend and urge everyone to stay away from this company, avoid doing business with Greg. Trust me on this. If you decide to disregard my warning and hire him, keep few things upfront and center in your mind....Be prepared to do clean up, have someone lined up for all the corrections/fixes that will be needed. DO YOUR HOMEWORK (basic info for job how to and materials needed (not just what Greg says). DO NOT, repeat DO NOT have him buy the materials for project. Get a detailed (detailed being the operative word) invoice/job order for everything, as in everything, in writing from beginning to end. Receipts. Remember....BUY MATERIALS YOURSELF and GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!
