We hired Frank Roscoe, P.E. from Elmech Industrial Services to assess the damage to the foundation of a brick row home we considered purchasing. After a very thorough exploration of the premises he was able to advise us on the probable extent of the damage and suggest a course of action to monitor and remedy the situation. During the inspection, he took the time to educate us on how he arrived at his conclusion. The information he provided made us feel comfortable handling the problem and we proceeded with the purchase of the home. We received great value for a fair price and would highly recommend his services as a structural engineer.

I needed an assessment on a horizontal crack in the foundations. Scheduling a visit by a structural engineer was quick and easy. The engineer, Mr. Frank Roscoe arrived on time, was very through in his inspection, going above and beyond the scope of the aforementioned structural crack. Mr. Roscoe was very patient in explaining the situation and in answering all questions that we had. We also received the written formal report very quickly.

Frank Roscoe, P.E. provided structural engineering advice and consultation. He was incredibly knowledgeable, but also used simple terms and concepts to provide me the information I needed. He walked me through my entire house to advise which walls were load bearing and which ones could be moved. I would highly recommend Mr. Roscoe to any homeowner or potential homeowner seeking structural engineering advice.

April of 2017 I contacted Mark (owner) and gave them a simple job in Arlington. Including my job was previous plan, AutoCAD file and list of the equipment and perfectly explanatory layout of everything. Mark referred me to his assistant Ian Spivack who is licensed in three states of VA, MD and DC. Mr. Spivack based upon the documents we gave him promised in three weeks he will draw the plan and finish the job. Now we are in the beginning of the November and I had to hire another firm to finish our job.
1- Their firm has no experience none what so ever with commercial projects.
2- The owner of the company does not take any responsibility after he subcontract to another architect.
3- Elmech industrial services usually takes their victim from Craiglist that are looking for architect.
4- One of their terms is that client has to submit the plan to the county. By doing that, they already collected their entire money from you and for occupancy permit it is you facing your county not them. They already long gone and you need to spend more money to fix their mistakes.
5- By giving them your project you are putting yourself and your budget in a great risk and I promise you will never have any accurate drawings done.
6- Soon to be once we gather all the documents against them we will report them to DPOR Regulations governing in all three states and will sue them for the damages done to us.
Shame on you Mark B and Ian Spivack. Shame on you!

Hired this company for some MEP drawings. The quality of the drawings I have not seen before!! They looked amazing!!!!! What took me over the top about Elmech was how quick my they completed them!!
