We initially moved to EJF from another management company to oversee our Cooperative, hoping for a better experience. At first, they were very engaging. However, after short thereafter maybe around 60-90 days later, issues started to arise. We noticed questionable practices in their property management approach, including attempts to push us into unfavorable agreements with contracting companies. Signing contracts for construction work in units and insurance policies with prior notice to the board of directors. The longer we stayed with EJF the worse it got.

EJF proved to be highly unresponsive, making it nearly impossible to get questions answered. They partnered with vendors that appeared to overcharge for services and then defended those vendors when concerns were raised. When we finally decided to part ways with EJF, the transition process is a nightmare. They are withholding crucial information, stopped paying bills with our funds, and have yet to transfer all the money from our accounts. It has now been 33 days, and we are still waiting for full access to our operating and reserve funds.

If you are considering EJF to manage your cooperative or condominium, run in the other direction. Our experience has been nothing short of frustrating, and we would strongly advise looking elsewhere for a more reliable and transparent management company.

If I could rate this company as a zero I would gladly do so.

Lea at EJF Rentals quickly recognized a correction to my account had to be made and it was fixed in literally one minute after our phone call ended. She listened closely to my inquiry and promptly resolved it. As a renter/customer, this is everything you could ever ask for. There was no back and forth. It was a simple "I see a problem so let's fix it". I am beyond satisfied with how this was handled. I don't do Google Reviews, but the way & speed at which Lea took care of me, this is a happy exception. Thank you so much again Lea!

I have had a few occasions now where I needed something taken care of quickly and was very pleased with how responsive Jamie was. Most recently, a home sale was in danger last minute due to a master insurance policy being insufficient. Jamie was able to drop everything and take care of this, coordinating with the lender and insurance agent to make sure the policy was updated and done in the same day and that the updated insurance certificate was sent to the lender. Very happy with EJF overall.

Let’s start with we moved to EJF from another management company for our condominium. At the beginning, they were very enthusiastic, but after 30 to 45 days things start to take a turn there seem to be some kind of schemes on the side when it came to their property management, trying to force us into different kinds of agreements. When they realize what that person was doing, they changed us on to another person apologized. Gave us the full disclosure about how they’re going to be better and from there it did not get any better at all. They’re very non-responsive you can’t get questions answered they pair with companies they try to gouge you and then stand behind the companies. They tried to gouge you when we finally decided to cut ties with EJF. The transition has been less than favorable. They have decided to not give all of the information that was needed for the transition. They decided to stop paying the bills with our money and they have still yet to turn over all the money out of our accounts at this point, we have to pull our attorney in to solve this I suggest You look for some other management company.

As many of you know many services today with management companies are taken care of remotely in other countries. I had a surprisingly great experience with EJF. Trixie answered the phone and offered to deal with my accounting question herself. She was professional, well informed and communicated quickly. EJF should acknowledge her good service.

My current condo management association is being replaced by EJF. I was having difficulty setting up my account and called their office. Mae was extremely helpful and patiently walked me through the process. She answered all my questions in a pleasant manner. I look forward to having EJF as our new management company.

I am in the process of buying a condo that is managed by EJF Real Estate. I had ordered a necessary document from them on Monday for a one business day turn around that was not met. I'd called this morning and had a rep who didn't help me and left a bad taste in my mouth. I called again a few hours later as I am still missing the document, and was very pleasantly surprised by my interaction with John. He was empathetic to my situation and the stress and anxiety I'm feeling and instead of telling me to contact the CondoCerts company (who id already called multiple times when I spoke with the other rep), he advised me why there was a delay and took action to contact the person at EJF to make sure they see to the document today.

Thank you John for your positive energy, kindness and going above and beyond for me, even though I wasn't in the best mood at the beginning of our call! I hope the rest of the interactions with EJF are on par with the customer service John provided!
