EDGE is not a good company. They make cheap homes, do half a$$ work, and are bad at communicating. When they finished our basement, the framing to the unfinished bedroom basement wasn’t even attached to anything. You could literally pull the framing away from the wall. The picture I added is them doing work in our driveway. I left one morning (with no notice that work would be going on) and came back 30 minutes later to this. No courtesy call, no notice. And we had a car parked in the garage that you can’t really get out with this angle. What are they doing? Their construction guy said, “Oh yeah if you have access to part of your driveway we don’t have to say anything.” It takes a day to pull out the concrete, 2 days to fill, and 2-3 days to dry. So you’re talking about a weeks worth of work and they say, “we don’t have to say anything” — comical. Bad communication, bad quality homes. EDGE shows me time and again not to build with them.

Terrible company to work with. Would never recommend using edge!

They have hired an HOA company who are just looking ways to fine!

Their customer service has been terrible. We had a giant pile of dirt from construction piled on our property that took nearly 1 year to remove. It prevented us from finishing our backyard or building a fence. They left the back fence and retaining wall un finished for just as long and it took repeated tickets calls and emails to get even a human response.

The streets are so narrow that if cars are parked on the road you can barely drive through.

I have been in my house 12 years now and it’s been amazing. Almost nothing wrong in 12 years! The build quality is excellent. No incentive for leaving this review just a really happy customer 🙂

4 year original owner review here.
Floors squeak in multiple places. This requires taking out your flooring and putting screws next to the nails. Shouldn’t need done on a house less than 5 years old. I’ve had to do it multiple rooms. And hiring the carpet stretching out multiple times gets expensive.

Drywall. I have multiple places where the drywall screws went through the paper and starts to push the mud out so you can see it. I have had to put screws in next to those screws, mud and texture it, and repaint it. Not hard, but gets annoying after a few times.
Speaking of drywall, I had the entire tub surround create a tear away and create a gap between it and the wall. That was fun to fix. (After leaving this review, they did send in the drywall crews to fix this issue)

I have a window sill that is sloped in two different directions. When I asked them about it, they said it was too late. So ignore them when they say to stay out of your house when it is under construction. Go in, take pictures, communicate it, and get it fixed! (After leaving this review, they did send in the drywall crews to fix this issue)

Toilet wax rings. I’ve had to replace two of them due to leaking already. Never a fun job.

There are other things, but you get the idea. This is all after the warranty period, so I’ve had to do the repairs myself or hire it out. Just know if you are building an edge home, you’ll have a lot of repairs within the first few years but after their warranty period.

We have lived in our home for about 4 years now and more and more we are seeing how downright lazy people were when building our home. The furnace was not plumbed correctly, we had to pay to fix it. Our trim is cracking all over our house, having to fix that. Whoever caulked our house was obviously in a hurry. We've had to fix our shower in the primary suite because once again, the finish work was overlooked and we had mold growing underneath it from the split in the shower floor. Our rock wall in our backyard is a whole story in of itself. Costing us about $8,000.

And I am choosing to say something now because....their HOA is abusing the homeowners in our community to top it all off. It's predatory at best, fines and notices being given out for flags in windows on the inside of the home, scooters on the driveway when kids go get a drink, garbage cans being on the side of the house, all just stupid petty reasons. Oh, and they'll just change the CC&R to match whatever fine they'd like to start handing out when it's pointed out that the verbiage in the CC&R is ambiguous.

Edge controls the HOA in our community that has been built out for a couple years now. But they'll say the community isn't done, because somehow a community a ways down the road is also part of your master HOA. It's all builder and corporate greed. Edge Homes did not do their due diligence in hiring a property management company to enforce the already outrageous CC&R. They're using this relationship to line pockets and it's certainly not the homeowners.

Run far, far away from Edge. Their build quality sucks and the HOA sucks even more. Remember, their homes fall off mountains and whatnot, can't wait to see what else will break in ours. I will never recommend Edge to anyone and will go out of my way to explain to someone why they should change their mind if they've started the process. Trust me, you're better off somewhere else!

Currently live in my First and last edge home.
EDGEhomes builds are half assed (I don’t think I have a straight wall in my whole house), materials are cheapest possible, they build ten feet apart from the house next door so homes all settle in on eachother my house is barely 4 years old and I have cracks in walls, foundation, there’s a big pit under my front stairs, driveway is cracking, counters and stair banisters are splitting from the wall, the list goes on. Their customer service is absolute garbage and they’re quick to shift blame or say well sucks to suck you’re out of your warranty. I honestly don’t know how this company still exists.

My wife and I have had a great experience working with Humberto Coello, an EDGEhomes sales representative. After we signed up for the first unit we chose, he helped us change it to one with a better view. We've also been receiving weekly updates through the EDGEhomes mobile app. We are excited and looking forward to moving into our unit soon!
