My wife and I are completely renovating a house we recently purchased and are doing the work ourselves. The Town required us to get an architect before they would grant us a permit. Danny was the only one willing to take on the job and he came through when we needed it. He was quick to fix any issues we had with the plans and very easy to talk to and coordinate with. I sincerely like working with Danny and look forward to finishing our project and continuing to raving about Danny’s service to us.

Sadly I have to change my review on this company. Dura Design & Build stay away from them. I signed a contract for an addition with DURA/EZER thinking that it was a good company but boy was I wrong. The slab he poured is not square or level which makes the walls not level and square. The roof trusses were ordered 100% incorrect of his drawings, I have exposed 2x6's sticking out over an inch on the bottom plates, the plumbing is incorrect honestly... I don't know what else to say the entire project is a complete disaster. When I brought up my issues and concerns he literally told me "I had too high of expectations for his company". I was literally flabbergasted. His answers to me are The slab is perfect he messed up on ordering the trusses and framing a wall to the incorrect height he knows 100% that he is in the wrong. He had 4 workers here which none of them ever had a safety harness on working on the roof. One of his main guys was wearing a sling on his arm the entire time and he was charging me for "quality" work he said. The walls aren't even straight nothing is straight. He has failed multiple inspections over months of being here building a 650 square foot garage addition. In fact out of 10 inspections he has only passed 3, that is really bad in my honest opinion. Please if you do not believe me then let the pictures speak for themselves I attached pictures and videos of the project and my issues.

Here are Facts:
you have been paid $29,800.00 CASH - (job estimate was $33,500) - cost plus $2/$3k
The extra money you spent was for fixing your mistakes/workers mistakes
concrete is jacked up
load bearing wall incorrect height(s)
Wall where you tied in has moisture behind it. In my actual house
Trusss are incorrect and not aligned correct
You covered light and water leak spot(s) with a $5 can of foam
Leaking water in major spots
You can’t fix everything with Vulkum
You have to cut into my brand new slab to fix your plumbing mistake
sill plates exposed on the outside rotting away
Many other things/issues
You failed 7 inspections out of 10 total. (Saint Johns County Permit # 11908441)
DBPR Investigator has already visited and seen the work
DBPR has accepted my case

What don’t you understand?

I would LOVE for anyone who wants to hire Dura to come by my house and see why I stopped paying Dura.

Look at all the images and videos I posted. This guy took $29,800 in cash and he is worried about $6,000. A picture is worth a thousand words, and a video is priceless. He knows he is in the wrong. 100%. Do you really want to hire this guy to build something for you?

We tore down a garage and added a 1400 square foot, 2 bed 2 bath in law cottage and two car garage. Our church hired Dura Architecture to design our new youth facility. We suggested the idea of a "barn" motif, but also wanted the building to be indestructible, up to modern standards and multi-function. Dura produced a creative and unique wrap-around porch design, reoriented our layout to provide a sweet wilderness view and made several design modifications that saved us money. Maybe what's most impressive is that Danny Garcia was willing and able to work patiently with our church committee and help us get unified on our vision.
