Creative Spaces, with John Johnson at the helm, recently completed a Feasibility Study of the possibilities of what can be done with our home on the water.

With this Feasibility Study in hand, we have plans that will not only ensure the home is remodeled in a way that allows it to shine, but also to ensure as you think about small changes in the home you can envision the big picture.

The entire Creative Spaces team takes the time to listen to their customers and adapt designs and concepts that align with not just what they believe would work for your home, but also what you have indicated is important to you.

As an example, although it is a little touch, I had mentioned that I like to be just a few steps from our grill, and the crew, while thinking about big picture items such as the structure of the home, gave thought to where the grilling space would work best.

It may be a few months, or maybe a few years away, but, it's such a great idea to get a plan from a true professional.

We worked with CSR on a substantial remodeling project of our waterfront home in Annapolis and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

We began the design process with “blue sky” and “what if” discussions with the CSR team and met regularly with them to review the budget and engineering impacts of each of our desires. They helped us narrow our explorations down to manageable plans staying within our budget while also helping us achieve our vision.

This was a very large project that was not without its challenges, but the team at CSR always maintained a can do and positive attitude expressing that our satisfaction was always their ultimate goal.

My husband and I have been working with Creative Spaces Remodeling over the past few months to replace windows and siding on our home in Shady Side. We've had a chance to meet and work with many on their team throughout the project and they are all talented, enthusiastic folks. Our project manager, Steven, has been wonderful to work with. We are really happy with our screened porch designed and built by Creative Spaces Remodeling (CSR). It was very important for us to have the new addition look like it has always been a part of our home. They hit that nail on the head. The 20 x 16 addition looks like it was built with the house 11 years ago. The design and architecture team took the time to make sure the lines and pitch of the new addition would exactly match the existing home. They also used creative thinking to capitalize on our waterfront space while staying within all the guidelines of building in the Critical Zone. Our new outdoor living space is beautiful, cozy, and brings us so much daily joy. We love it!

After several disappointing home remodeling projects with other companies I was hesitant to try again. It was a chance encounter that I met the owner and took that as a sign it was time to try again. From the start of the project to the very end I could not have been more pleased. Every team member and contractor was professional, courteous and really listened to my vision for my kitchen. My project manager Matt Hostetler went above and beyond to ensure that the project ran smoothly; his daily presence on the job site definitely helped to relieve the stress and anxiety of a home remodeling project.

We interviewed a number of contractors to remodel our kitchen. Most demonstrated a complete lack of design creativity and seemed to be interested--if we could get them interested at all--in just bringing in new cabinets and flooring..."and calling it a day!" Dear friends of ours recommended that we interview Creative Spaces Remodeling, because John Johnson and his team had wowed them with their design ideas and they had contracted with them. I had never heard of Creative Spaces Remodeling and of course knew nothing of their design and construction skillset. I do know, however, that our friends are at least as particular as we are, and if they had contracted with Creative Spaces Remodeling, we should at least interview them before making a decision on next steps. From our initial meeting with the Creative Spaces Remodeling team, we were impressed with their "outside the box" design ideas, and before long we, too, had contracted with them. The project took longer than we anticipated, but was usually something beyond the control of Creative Spaces Remodeling (e.g., delays in getting cabinetry and appliances, our inability to make a decision on a countertop, tile and cabinet hardware, etc.). In the end, the Creative Spaces Remodeling team delivered a stunning result! We have a remodeled kitchen (and dining room, too!) that we are proud of. And all who have seen the remodeling are amazed at the results of this effort.
