This review will stay up till Fernando does right by us. I'm a local Realtor, who hired Fernando (Construction Concepts) to build us an ADU from Gound up. At first Fernando, was very pleasant, and actually overall a nice person. We hired him in July of 2023. Durin this time, we have been patient with him, and he was very communicative. When the project actually got up and running in December of 2023, that was the beginning of the fall, as I begin to question his methods, and why things were taking so long! Keep in mind as of Jan 10th, 2024, we had paid Fernando about 80% of this project, and massive delays due to products not being available etc., which was concerning because we had paid him a lump sum in July of 2023 stating all material will be ordered? Feb 2024 comes, and there is no work, for about 3-4 weeks because of a special-order door, that supposedly has him held up because without this door we cannot get to next inspections. Inspection time came, and we failed, stating that it was not in sequence and that the previous inspections was due to be done, come to find out, we also failed that inspection, and now have a magnitude of question, with no answers. It doesn't surprise me because there was also different type of people on site who appeared like those you hire from the street, and the work that was being done was very questionable at times and I'm glad the city caught and protected us. Fernando has failed to provide a gameplan, corrections plans, and now we seek a refund that he has yet to respond too. He has been reported to the contractor's board, his insurance and local authorities. As stated, this review will stay up unless Fernando does right by us. If you are using him or plan on using him. Take this review for face value.
