Comer Construction literally saved Christmas 2024 for my family and many others in my neighborhood. Around 5pm on Christmas Eve, we had a water main break on our street. We realized quickly that the water would be turned off soon so we began to fill buckets etc. As I went to sleep around 10pm, I had no idea what the next day would bring. I was expecting a full house. It was Christmas Eve and how could I expect anyone to leave their families and gatherings to fix the mess happening outside my door. A little while later I heard the sound of truck back up beeps and then the sound of construction. I had hope! I didn’t care how loud they were or if I would be up all night listening to them. My hope was to have water by morning. Around 12am I heard the sound of our water being restored. They remained out there for many more hours fixing the road etc. My biggest regret is not going outside to thank them all personally that night. Thank you to the Comer Construction crew and staff who sacrificed their Christmas Eve for their community. I will be forever grateful!

Mike Comer is a true professional! He was honest, on time, friendly, efficient and very reasonable. Filling in my pool seemed like a major project to me but he made it seem easy. His good nature and quiet demeanor was something you don't see everyday. I feel truly blessed to have had Jack on my job. He filled the pool area and spread geass seed and stone on the walkway so it looks like it was that way all along. See my before and after shots. It looks like

Really nice people answering the phone - Mike was easy going. This is (i think) mostly commercial construction company, but I needed some fill dirt and figured I would give them a call. I was leveling out an area for a swingset and needed bunch of dirt. I had them keep delivering until it looked like enough. They were very flexible.

Also, the thing I liked is that the driver was awesome. Bo was a real professional driver, able to maneuver around our existing swingset and some trees. Most drivers don't want to do anything except dump it off in your driveway for fear of getting stuck or crushing grass, Bo was able to do it and put the fill EXACTLY where I needed, the kids will be so happy when the swingset area is level and they can swing again. Thanks Comer!

Did I mention they were cheaper than every local area that I called? Will be calling them for screened topsoil soon!

Let me speak of the integrity of Comer Construction. My car was behind one of their Dump trucks and a stone came off the truck and made a round crack larger then a quarter. I Spoke with Tim from the company and because the truck did not have load in it they would not pay for damage.

Called every day for a week trying to get top soil also emailed. Half the time I spoke to a nice woman who wanted to make sure I was helped and sent me to the man who was supposed to help, gave him my info numerous times she even found him(she’s in a different building) and gave him the phone directly after I still hadn’t gotten a response for days. The guy was annoyed while I was letting him know what I needed. Was not knowledgeable.
When I told him I think I needed 4 sq cubic feet of topsoil for a 12x12ft raised bed I asked if that sounded right he laughed and asked how he’s supposed to know. He took my info said he would work up a quote and call me back. I never heard back… again. I ended up going with Wirtz and daughters for my top soil. Had a great experience with wirtz . I spoke with Kelly at Wirtz and she was extremely nice, she was able to answer that yes I was correct in how much top soil I needed quickly and had a quote and delivery date set up on the first call in 5 minutes! Also delivered the next day for cheaper then I found a few other places to be!

Excellent safety program. The crew follows strict procedures during the trenching and excavation operations. Comer's Safety Director is very competent with their expertise in construction safety and health. Highly recommend!

Shocking driving from one of their vehicles near Nutley, East Sussex. Driving too close then overtaking and almost clipping my vehicle. Total disregard fo other drivers. Learn to drive
