No stars. First off, the birds are laying nests in my patio, and I am 80 years old. I am not able to clean that out myself. Secondly, somebody allowed their dog to poop right by the entry way of the main door. This is disgusting. I am tired of the lack of care and consistency of the people on this board. I am very upset. I only pay $200 a month condo fee. See pictures below.

Very costly monthly for a association where pool and clubhouse no longer in use. Also not more proactive in having dead beat tenants pay their fair share and allow other tenants to make frivolous complaints while not recognizing that those tenants are the problem and create at times criminal actions and dangerous situations where tenants can fear walking to their homes. On good side while responsive tend to not have more meetings to discuss issues like security cameras due to crime in area.

I cannot speak highly enough of Mary Froehlich with Clagett Enterprises, Inc. Mary has been an absolute pleasure to work with in managing our Jefferson Place HOA. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for the community truly set her apart. She is always available, responsive, and attentive to every detail—no matter how big or small the issue may be.

Mary follows through on everything she commits to, making sure nothing falls through the cracks. She consistently demonstrates fairness, empathy, and a level-headed approach when navigating even the most challenging situations. Her communication is clear and timely, and she always makes herself accessible, which provides incredible peace of mind to our homeowners.

It is rare to find someone in property management who takes such pride in their work and truly advocates for the best interests of the community. Mary brings a sense of calm, balance, and professionalism to every interaction. She has gone above and beyond for our neighborhood on countless occasions, and we are truly lucky to have her.

If every HOA had a manager like Mary Froehlich, the industry would have a whole new reputation. Clagett Enterprises is fortunate to have such a dedicated and outstanding professional on their team.

Terrible experience. Charged $1100 for a one bedroom one bath by the time I moved out when the original rent was $925 when I moved in three years earlier. Plus, the apartment was a subunit that had not been updated since the early 1990s so it was NOT worth the asking price. Maintenance requests were given tardy responses. In November 2022, I went almost ten days without a functioning toilet and was told to just go “stay in a hotel”. I went three weeks without AC before I moved out with the maintenance workers blatantly lying that they had tried to contact me and received no response; my email and phone # had not changed in the three years I had lived there. Also, the up-charging on the washer and dryers was a low blow and made doing laundry few and far between, considering the machines were coin only and there wasn’t even a change machine in the building. My advice to anyone looking for residence: avoid Clagett and their properties.

The worst experience renting an apartment.
1. The AC in the house was broken, I spent months asking them to take care of that problem and they never did. One day my house was +90 degrees and the only thing they did was put some fans.
Thanks to that I still owe $600 dollars from the last month I was there to the electric company, which they obviously did not take care of.
2. They sent them an invoice that they should seal the kitchen cabinets because there are mice entering the house, they sent them to put some traps and nothing else. I had to take out the traps with the animals every day.
3. The security deposit of $1250 was returned to me in $630 because they recommend a company (j&c premium) that quotes me $350 dollars to leave the house ready to be delivered and they send me an invoice for $770. Really companies that conspire to steal.
I lived in that apartment for 2 years and the people at Claguett don't care about the conditions in which you live, they just care that you pay month by month, which I did the whole time.

Disgusting company. Terrible practices. Always increasing the HOA and zero idea where it goes. They even admitted on last years paperwork that over 100K of collected money went to “misc fees”. I would love nothing more than for the attorney generals office to get involved and open an investigation to these slumlords. I’m sure they’ll respond to this with a useless cop-out like all the other bad reviews. To anyone reading this, stay as far as you can from anything these people touch. I left them a bad review online once and they even tried to lie and say it wasn't them and requested I remove it.

Update:
Adjusting my review back to 1 star.

Clagett did make contact on the cosmetic issues and sent out there contractor of there choice who made quick repairs. But the main issues were not addressed or scheduled to be fixed to my knowledge. I am appreciative of initial response but no follow up to deal with the main problem of improper ventilation which continues to lead to further humidity issues throughout the building. The company is not being fully accountable during this time to make things right.

Previous review:
Absolutely Horrible company and they need to be removed. Putting all residents at risk for serious health issues. With Mold and active roof leaks, wood rot and high humidity. Causing additional damage which would be otherwise preventable. Severe Negligence is taking place at Clagett and much of it I feel stems from the HoA and Community Managements lack or inability maybe even incompetence.

I have worked with an observed Jay Hartley who provides Community Management services to my community. I find Jay to be driven, professional, organized and a big asset to Glenbrook. I am glad he is working with our BOD and highly recommend him!
