Charles was given the task to repair all problems going on with a specific wall And flooring in our home. During escrow, we had an agreement with the sellers that they would pay for the damage and whatever is going on with that wall as an agreement to close. We chose Charles construction to do the job and was told in detail that we wanted to have this wall fully repaired. We trusted that he did the job that we asked him to do and he was paid in full, and the seller had done their part in the contract. $6,000 later it’s now the new rainy season and that wall has the same exact thing going on and we contacted him and it has been hard to get a hold of him and he gave us the run around and told us that he would let us know about estimates which I don’t understand Why would we need estimates when he should have fixed those problems when he was originally paid & it hasn’t even been a year. We should have asked for warranty paper work & that’s our fault. There should be some sense of guarantee on your work and just pride in yourself. I’m sure his worker was just doing what Charles asked him to do so he did a great job at preparing the sheet rock, Texture, and paint and the carpet looks fine but ultimately he was never there. When he came back recently to check out the wall, he was saying, that he noticed the baseboards separating from the wall so it should be the foundation not the roof so he went outside and claims it’s a crack at the bottom of the stucco outdoors that’s letting water seep in. He should have inspected that and confirmed that when the wall was completely exposed. It would have been obvious then. Now we have moisture in our wall as the rainy season came around again and our floor is drenched. I understand at this point due to him not even responding to us anymore now we are basically screwed Because we can’t just open the case back up from when we closed on our home to ask them for more money. He also repaired some thing in the restroom, which still looks great no negative reviews about that. Just to wrap this up I do want to mention not once have we harassed him, spoken to him disrespectfully About this, he’s just Simply is avoiding us at this point. Just a reminder, whenever you hire anyone to do a job always make sure you ask about Warrantees and if they guarantee their work, again, I’m fully aware and taking accountability for lacking in that.
