Doesn’t even deserve one star. This is long but please read. After going in circles from Sept-Nov, I signed up for NTTA instead, active Nov 25, 2025. I add money into my account and never had an issue. Beginning of March, I get two bills from CTRMA (mine and husband’s vehicle) my husbands was $450 and mine was only $9? I called and they told me to contact NTTA. Not much to explain there bc I have been adding money since becoming a customer and shouldn’t have a bill AT ALL? And even then, why would my husbands be so high but my car so low? If I paid CTRMA, I would essentially be double paying. I’m so close to getting legal assistance bc NTTA is one of their partners I guess, so why should I have this many problems? And WHY would I be getting a bill now if the first date of the invoice is Nov 4? I even made two payments on Nov 12 to CTRMA. No one can ever give me any answers. They told me to email all my proof to the customer service email (after many calls) so I did. They email back finally asking for info that’s literally in my original email. Fine, I type it all again. This morning the email back to me said the invoice is from Nov 4 to March 12. OH REALLY?! That was NOT what my email originally asked for or needed help with. Complete WASTE OF A COMPANY.

I have a Txtag on all my vehicles and some how I still get a bill from Central TX Mobility and never one time have they sent me a bill which does not already have a late fee included. This organization is a complete scam an should be removed. One toll organization for Texas is more than enough and late fees should be limited to 10% of the outstanding balance annually. Not $15 dollars on a 3 dollar balance that you do not even know is outstanding because they do not send you a statement until it is late.

What a HOT mess!!!! I receive a letter from Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority saying I owe $18.91 plus a $14 late fee (never received an initial invoice) for a total of $32.91, although I have an active NTTA toll tag in good standing that is tied to my debit card and auto pulls as needed. I call the local number on the billing document of 512.410.0562. I'm told by that CSR that they are the Harris County billing authority and with them I owe $18.99 and that I would need to use the other number on the bill, 833-762-8655, to settle the amount ($32.91) on the bill I received from Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. This all feels like a huge scam or attempt to fraudulently charge people.

The biggest problem is that your information is not secure or protected with this company. I have a brand new phone number that I’ve had for 6 months. There are 4 companies and 6 people that have the number. As soon as I signed up for this tag, I’ve been bombarded with “click here to make a payment to your account” from numbers claiming to be them. It is so prevalent that their website mentions this phishing. Perhaps they should implement better measures to protect a person’s information and credit card info. Customer service is severely lacking. I’m being auto charged five times a month then receive a massive bill in the mail on top of that that doesn’t reflect any of the auto payments. These people can’t keep anything straight.

Long story short: CTRMA rides the fine line between extortion and legality. They sent me a $500 bill on $17 worth of unpaid tolls (3,511% Collection Fee.) They mailed my bill to the wrong address for over 8 months and refuse to take accountability. I have an EZ Tag that has always been in use and I was completely unaware of the $17 of "unpaid tolls" (guess there scanners weren't picking up EZ Tags those days) instead of calling me or emailing me, they continued to mail the bill to the wrong address. I requested a supervisor/manager multiple times and instead; I got a call from a front desk lady that knew nothing about my case in the middle of the work day. This company deserves punishment

Got a bill in late March for some toll roads I drove in December, along with $30 of late fees (4x the cost of the tolls)! I was able to get the fees removed by calling their customer service line, but the fact that THE FIRST thing I got from them was a "60 days late" notice should be illegal.

The phone number on the bill is not Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. I have been going back and forth with 4 different numbers for a week. The total bill amount is different than when I go online. I am unable to get ahold of anyone. If I do get a hold of a rep, they say they will connect me, hang up or the number is wrong. This place is a total SCAM.

They are doing this on purpose to make people give up to call so they end up paying an astronomical amount in fees. Stop using tolls if possible.

CTRMA truly just wants to get as much money from you as they can, and will lie to get it. I pay my mom’s toll bill every month. Back in October they tried to tell me I didn’t make a payment for the September bill so they charged me the $54 plus late fees. My mom called them and provided BANK PROOF that it was indeed paid TO THEM and it was taken out of my bank account. They gave her the run around saying they “never received it” she emailed them a picture of my bank statement and never heard back. THEY STILL HAVE THOSE EXTRA FEES ON THE TOLL BILL EVERY MONTH. In October/November I only paid my new fees because I’m not paying for something I already paid for! And here we are in December where they still haven’t waived the $54 plus all the fees I paid for IN SEPTEMBER. I’M NOT PAYING FOR SOMETHING I ALREADY PAID FOR, WITH PROOF. My mom will have to call again but I’m sure they’ll deny I paid it or make up some BS.
