My wife and I were good tenants of Brekke for four years. At the end of our agreement we moved out of the state, but we were nice enough to find someone to take over. Almost a year later they had not returned our deposit and when contacted they said they just sent it (to our old address and they knew we had moved).

When we got the check it was for 1/3 the original amount and had the name of the new tenant on it as well. Obviously we cannot deposit the check so we have to send it via mail to the new tenant who had already taken 6 weeks to get it here in the first place.

If you’re thinking about signing a lease with Brekke...I would take your business elsewhere. They expect you to be timely, but do not practice what they preach. They expect you to pay them money, but they don’t give back what’s owed to you. Last, they were rude on multiple occasions.

If I could give -5 stars, that still wouldn’t be enough. They are nice enough while you’re a tenant but once you move out it’s a completely different story. I lived in one of their units for a year, I left it in better condition than when I moved in. The apartment smelled of mildew and had stray cats galore, so I couldn’t even let mine outside. They said my cat “saturated” the carpet so bad that it was not salvageable. Which as you can see in the photo there wasn’t a single spot on it. The on-site manager even walked the apartment with me at the time of key exchange and said it was in amazing shape and “would be shocked if I didn’t receive my whole deposit back”. Karen also stated it was almost 1500 to replace the said carpet, got my own quote from carpet land (who they got their work done through) which of course was way less than that amount. They are liars, if you rent from them don’t expect a single penny back from them when you move out, they will say you owe more. LOL! Regret leaving the apartment so clean as I spent hours cleaning walls and baseboards to leave it in pristine condition while very pregnant.

I have worked with Brekke Real Estate for nearly a decade now. I have found them to be an organization of the highest integrity. They have been very professional in all of our dealings, as well as responsive, responsible, and proactive. I have worked closely with Sandy Turner and Tina Johnson over the years and I commend them on the way they represent Randy Brekke and his firm. He is fortunate to have them on his team. If you are in need of a wonderful real estate sales & management firm, then save yourself some time, skip the searching, and hire Brekke.

Was going through them for a rental, paid application fees, gave them way more than was needed by request, the day before it was to be sent off to the landlord whoever was in charge quit or got fired, now suddenly I am told "oh it got rented out, we didn't get a chance to look at your application." With a non-refundable application fee of $40 per person over the age of 18 that will be living in the rental.

Shame on you brekke property management. Tina and owner never return calls ,lie about returning deposit never mail out check just the runaround playing phone tag .BS . RENTERS BEWARE DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY! Why would anyone trust this company for property management..

Poor management. They harass you until you want to move out of the apartments they are managing. Zero communication skills with the tenants. I’d take my business somewhere else.

Worst management ever. Properties are over run with roaches stray cats everywhere and even worse on site managers. You can tell the 5 star reviews are from themselves and not real tenants. Mr. Brekke is a p.o.s.

As one of many long time members of the Turlock Fitness Club on Geer Road, it is with great surprise and disappointment that we contact you today. Since you are a locally owned and operated firm, understanding the importance of relationships in our small communities, would seem essential to your decision making here. Joe Moitoso and his 2,200 fitness club members deserve better management and treatment in this current situation you have created.
Please consider coming to a "win-win" agreement for this well respected and cherished Turlock business/club. In reading your web-site, your team is clearly capable of assisting Mr. Moitoso and his club/community members in arriving at a solution that does not result in the termination of his business and positive contribution to our community in Turlock. Joe is a fixture in Turlock and so is the love for his dedication and service through his club ownership.
Adding insult to injury, is the fact that the club you are considering to replace our beloved gym with is of poor caliber and its reputation precedes it as such. Certainly, our 2,200 members will not consider supporting or belonging to a club of this merit.
