From the time my family moved in, there were electrical issues, wires hanging from the ceiling, and a roof leak. Our light bill was $2004 USD for one month. Our regular light bill was normally $800. Before moving in, we were told that our light bill would just be a "little high." Our light bill exceeded the rent of $650 at the time. For two years this continued, we were told by the town that this particular property always gets pink slips. I was told by a neighbor that there was a conversation about us living there and that what we stated about the light bill was not true. "She" mentioned to this neighbor that her last tenant showed her a light bill that "she" calls "a little bit high" and took it to the landlord," he deducted some of the cost in rent. The previous tenant's light bill was said to be $600 which still is $50 shy of the rent at the time. With a $2000 light bill we got nothing deducted. When we went to the town to discuss the high light bill issue, our first month receiving this high light bill, we were told to go to the landlord. When we spoke to Blackstone realty about it, they told us it was a town issue. This was an ongoing issues, just as every other issue that never go resolved, for two years. Enough was enough, we left.
