We recently rented a roll-off dumpster from Bennett Construction, to empty out our garage. The service agreement was for a 12-yd unit, 2 tonnage and 15 days for $385 plus $130 deposit, delivered on 12/21/18. We filled the dumpster on day 3 (12/24/18), but they were closed for the Christmas holidays so we had to wait until day 6 (12/27/18) to call for it to be dumped and returned. On day 15 (1/5/19) we called and left a message that we were finished with the dumpster and it could be picked up. On that same day, we received a bill from Bennett Construction for $255 more, which was for an additional $385, minus the $130 deposit!
I called on Monday 1/7/19 to ask again for the final pickup, plus ask for an explanation of the bill. From what we could read in the contract, we would be charged $110/hour for the truck to pick up and return the dumpster, plus $65 per ton if we were over 2 tons, and $4 per day over the 15 day allowance. Since we weren’t over our tonnage, we weren’t over our 15 days, and the truck took less than 2 hours to pick up, dump and return our bin, I was expecting to be charged an additional $90 over our $130 deposit for dumping once during our rental period.
The office manager (Kristin) was very rude to me over the phone. She told me that I should have known that I would be charged for another $385 to have the dumpster emptied, that it didn’t matter that it was less than a week into the rental period. I tried to explain what I was reading in the contract, and Kristin told me it didn’t matter if I couldn’t understand what it meant, the contract holds up in court!
Kristin even threatened to turn us over to collections even though the invoice that I received on 1/5/19 (dated 1/2/19) said Payment Terms: Net 30 days! I guess Kristin would tell me I am reading that wrong too 🙄

Zero stars!!! Thats just how bad my experience was with this company. I have NEVER been so disrespected in my life. Poor customer service, a miscommunication with the contract, and an inability to properly explain company policies is no way to run a business. We arranged for a dumpster to be delivered to our residence and it was delivered as promised and the driver also gave us a copy of the contract. We looked over the contract that was fairly straightforward, seeing the penalties for having the dumpster piled higher than the size and exceeding the known weight limit. Nowhere in the contract did it say that if we needed to dump it during the time that we had it would we be charged the full price. It appeared in reading, that at most we may have to give the company another deposit of $130. We needed to dump and have it returned one time. The truck driver told us that it was easier for him to dump it and return it, instead of bringing a NEW dumpster. We received a bill from Bennett and lo and behold we were charge for two dumpsters a total of 700 and some dollars. My wife contacted the office and was told by a rather rude employee that “it’s in the contract” and that “there’s no need to take us to court because the contract has been tested before”. The contract does not state in plain language that each subsequent dumping once delivered will cost the rental of another dumpster. We certainly fulfilled the requirements of the contract but I think Bennett construction is certainly failing in theirs! Clarity in all aspects of transactions and good customer service goes a long way in maintaining lasting customers, scare tactics certainly do not. I will be letting all of my friends, colleagues, and family know about my TERRIBLE experience and will never be using their services again.

They damaged my driveway when removing a dumpster.. I was not looking for them to repair the driveway but to at least be apologetic about the damage. All they could reply is that I signed a contract and THEY are not RESPONSIBLE!!!! Good customer service goes a long way.....

Use any other company besides Bennett. They damaged our driveway during pickup of their dumpster and will not step up and be accountable for the damage. They say per their "Contract", they are not liable for any damage. IE they could crush your car and because there was the contract, they would not accept responsibility.
