After searching for over a year for a landscaper to help my sad-looking backyard, I decided on Stephen and Bay Terra Landscapes and I am overjoyed with the results. I really appreciated Stephen’s friendly personality, his willingness to work within a budget, and my creative need to adjust our ideas as the project unfolded.

Stephen had great suggestions, and also really heard what I wanted. He was always willing to offer add-ons at various price levels. His workers were exceptionally respectful and exceedingly talented — they built a beautiful rock retaining wall and steps that really up-leveled the feel our our backyard. In addition, they created a small Buddha-pond that was better than I imagined!

In addition, Stephen shared his incredible wealth of knowledge about plants/trees, offering up great tips to help beautify / care for existing greenery.

Bay Terra did an amazing job on the creation of a beautiful backyard at a new house we purchased in Santa Rosa. The construction work was substantial and took a fair amount of time but we never felt like the work interfered with our lives. The various work crews did artisan level work on the extensive brickwork and the the custom pergola. We enjoyed working with the various teams and they were always respectful of our needs. The quality of the restoration will increase as it ages and plants grow to fill in the spaces. We are very pleased with the results.

Steph and his crew did a massive backyard renovation project for us that came out beautifully.

From grading to installing French drains to making suggestions for materials, he and the crew were outstanding. They even made my dream of a small fish pond with a water feature come to life! Steph is passionate about his work, and he's also collaborative, easy to talk to, and a very nice person.

He and his crew are great problem solvers, and they checked in frequently to make sure we were happy with the results.They are extremely hard workers, plus they're very kind. They always made sure to clean up at the end of every work day, which we really appreciated, as well.

My son’s dog chewed every irrigation line in the backyard as well as the electrical wires to the sprinkler system so both my front and back yards died, and I needed to have both yards razed and replaced with only pop-up sprinklers in the backyard as well as new walking paths, raised sitting areas, drought-tolerant and low-maintenance plants/bushes/trees front and back, sod in backyard, and a fenced gardening area. I worked with a Landscape Designer who recommended PlanTerra Landscapes for the install. Stephen’s crew was personable and professional, which I greatly appreciated as I work from home and interacted with them each day.

Stephen was efficient with scheduling his crew’s work, and flexible with significant changes that I wanted made along the way. Stephen offered a lot of great ideas, remained sensitive to my budget, and was on-site frequently. Stephen loves plants and is very knowledgeable about what would work in my yard - visually, maintenance-wise, financially, pet-friendly, and within my watering-method constraint. Stephen was easy to communicate with throughout. I highly recommend Stephen and his great crew!
