Working with Bacilia was fabulous. Highly recommended. She is creative, timely, and very easy to communicate with. We had some issues with both the contractor and inspectors and Bacilia was able to help us with those by contacting them directly. She was able to take a tired 80 year old tudor in the Oakland hills and update it yet keep all the character and charm. She also helped us add an ADU space in the old garage. Highly recommended.

Several duplexes and a residential home later and... we absolutely loved working with Bacilia! Starting from scratch, we had several full renovations to do and Bacilia was recommended to us. We really, really came to appreciate her knowledge of the process, the city, the regs involved as well as her ability to lay out the best configurations and drawings for our needs. She was always readily available, professional, kind -- and just wonderful to work with. She made potentially overwhelming projects quite manageable. Highly recommend her services. We are very happy with the outcomes by having her on our team!

I was lucky to have Bacilia as the architect on my ADU construction. The City of San Leandro knew her name before we submitted plans. The City Planning Dept clerk mentioned all plan reviews with Bacilia usually go smooth. Like the clerk predicted, City review went smooth, no questions made permit issuing easy, contractors had no problems reading her blue prints. Bacilia patiently answered all my questions as a home owner build. I will definitely use her services in the future. I'm glad to have a woman owned architecture company to recommend with confidence to others.

We have worked with Bacilia for a few years, we found her on the list of engineers of the city of Berkeley, we contacted her for the drawings and plans of our new ADU that we needed to legalize, she professionally guided us step by step with the necessary requirements to be able to apply. for the legalization permit and remodeling of our property from the beginning to the end until obtaining the permit for our construction, she made us the engineering drawings according to our wishes and complying with the city codes. She has also helped us with various other drawings that we have needed for our clients as a remodeling company. We highly recommend her for her ability, commitment and professionalism. As a general contractor of over 20 years I can safely say Bacilia is easily the best architect I have worked with. I used her for my own personal house renovation and she was with me through every step of the nightmare that is City of Oakland planning and building department. If it had not been for her, my project would have been stuck in limbo for another 6 months due to Oakland winter moratoriums. She was relentless not only in contacting the plan checker but also in fixing the mistakes of the engineers that had incorrectly lumped multiple grading plans into one. This is not to mention her actual design ideas were totally on point and her drawings were always completed in a super timely manner..as in days once we'd finalized engineering, etc.
She's also just really nice to talk to, always responds to phone calls and emails and she was super fairly priced. I don't write reviews very often but this one is well deserved. Thanks Bacilia!!!
