When I applied for a reba4e from the city for my permit fees at the end, the refund was paid to American Retrofit and they remitted the permit fees back to me very swiftly. They abided by the rules. The people who worked on my retrofit job were responsive to my questions along the way, from start to finish. David was particularly helpful and accessible which I greatly appreciated.

The estimate was competitive and they did not try to renegotiate price during construction. The did exactly what they said they would do and met my expectations. Even though there was a pandemic, they met their deadlines within a reasonable amount of time. When some unforeseen issues (not related to the work they were hired to do) became apparent during construction, they brought those issues to my attention so I could deal with them appropriately. Nobody enjoys Having to go through a soft story retrofit, but American Retrofitters made the process very simple and very comfortable.From the start they were very transparent about pricing and provided a fixed price and kept their word all the way through!

Seismic Retrofitters did a good job with the engineering for the steel and concrete and I feel that our home is much safer now that Seismic Retrofit has strengthened the building with the structural steel and the ton of concrete and rebar to secure the building. It should do fine in the event of a large earthquake. The only issue with the job in the beginning was when the city would get us a permit to start with and later when phases were completed it wasn't clear when the inspections would actually happen.
