We definitely regret buying a new build house from Alpine Homes. The quality is horrendous. We never thought we’d have to pay so much to fix so many things in a new build.

We have been in our house for only 2 1/2 years, and we have had horrible issues with our home. Our window wells fill up with water every time it rains or snows and it seeps into our basement. We have had to spend a lot of time and money putting sump pumps in the window wells.

The quality of the door installations were also horrible, and some of our doors don’t latch and one won’t even close all the way because the top gets stuck on the door frame. The doors to the outside have large gaps at the bottoms so air and dirt get in.

We have had huge cracks in our ceiling that have come back even after being patched. Our floors are spreading where they meet the banister leaving a space between.

Our gutters were installed poorly and water pours directly onto the top of one of our windows. It’s gotten behind the stucco and has separated our window from the dry wall and water comes in through the top of the window. We are now going to have to redo our gutters, fix the stucco as well as the dry wall.

I’m sure there are more issues I haven’t thought of, but we have been super frustrated with the issues at our house.

We had the pleasure of working with Floyd Huston as Alpine Homes' real estate agent, and he is the primary reason why I am giving Alpine Homes 5 stars. We toured many new developments before deciding to purchase our new home and were drawn to Alpine Homes because of Floyd. Floyd's honesty, kindness, and reliability made it incredibly easy for us to purchase our home through him. Even when we encountered a significant snag in the process, Floyd prioritized our confidence and comfort in our purchase above all else. He facilitated the transfer of lots and has been continuously supportive, even after closing. Floyd went above and beyond by using his own personal money and resources to ensure our home was properly inspected. Despite being the buyer's representative, I am extremely grateful to have someone who cares as much as Floyd does in acting as our advocate as well.

I had such a great experience working with Rob on a recent new construction deal with Alpine Homes. He was super friendly, always available, and quick to respond to any calls or texts. He kept things clear and positive for my buyers the whole way through, which made the process smooth and stress-free. Really appreciated how easy he was to work with. Hope we get to do another deal together soon!

We also loved working with Rob--he's awesome!! Thanks for a great buying experience. Working with a builder who had integrity and puts our needs top of the list is refreshing! Thank you!

We love our new home from them! The layout (Redwood I believe) is incredible, just perfectly designed for our life. The process went very well. We chose the finishings for the home and everything looks amazing. The builder was great to work with and even stayed with us when our home wasn't selling that quickly. The agents they had, Jake Graves and Sean Shoemaker, were fantastic. They were understanding, helpful, highly communicative. We also loved the preferred lender, Jon Aldrich and team. It's a tough experience, selling and buying a home, but they all made it so much better. I'm grateful we were able to work with all of them.

Alpine Homes has done a beautiful job smartly designing and utilizing the square footage in their homes. We especially love the Hawthorn floor plan. We love that there is a linen closet in EVERY bathroom including the half bath! AND there is a walk in linen closet upstairs! We've never seen a walk in linen closet - so awesome! The cabinets are all well thought out and beautifully done as well - with high quality tongue and groove drawers and slow close doors and drawers. We have been very pleased with our experience with Alpine Homes!

Revised review:

We’ve been in our home for 3 years now and the poor quality is really starting to show through…

Upstairs our house sounds like it is 100 years old. The subfloors creak in the hall, master bath, at least one spot in each room, the stairs, and now a few spots on the main floor.

Even after the 30+ nail pops they “fixed” under warranty, we still have more and more coming through.

There’s tape separation on the corners on our main floor, door casings are separating, nails for the door hinges have split the door, and almost all of the windows underneath are split/separated.

I’ve talked with neighbors and they have settling issues, hvac issues, plumbing installation problems, and all have had issues trying to get Alpine out to fix it or even take responsibility for it. I still love the floor plan, but unfortunately that’s about it.

We worked with Aneleise and Kerrie through Alpine and they were absolutely AMAZING! They looked out for us through the whole process, responded so fast to our questions, and treated us as if we were family. They made all the difference for us.

Alpine built an awesome floor plan for us with really good colors. The only issue I had was some of the finish work was a little sloppy, however when I talked with Mike, Kerrie, and Aneleise, they were so quick to talk with the project managers and get it fixed.

Here’s a warning for all. Outside of minor issues Alpine does not stand behind their work. I understand as a GC you utilize many subcontractors, but your name and reputation is at stake. My home and several others in my neighborhood are experience issues with settling due to poor compaction and ground prep after only a couple of years. Everything from sinking, hollow cavities even foundations being off 2+ inches front to back. One person in our neighborhood literally had his house condemned because the basement separated from the upper levels dues to settling. Alpine needs to take some responsibility and fix the issues.
