Ms. Alison was a joy to work with and knows her stuff! She helped me purchase my first home and I’m truly grateful for all her seamless help and patience. When things were going wrong with the bank she was very encouraging and patient. The home buying process was no joke; I shed literal tears, so having someone like her by my side was needed.

I used Alison Debraux while in the market to purchase a home. Things started off ok, but after a while I felt as if what I wanted was not the number one concern. I provided a specific focus area but was often provided listings for properties in other areas, although there were several homes available in the focus area based on my research. Sometimes it appeared she was more concerned with what the seller wanted than me as her client.
At the end of our contract, I gained nothing and lost time and money.

Updated to Alison's response below. The client did not always listen to the realtor because the realtor was not listening to the desires of the client. If I asked for a home with a garage in certain areas, why would you provide me with listing of homes without garages and in areas I had no interest? Regarding the home and the appraisal, I submitted my initial bid and YOU suggested I include an escalation clause (see I unfortunately listened to you that time). Before agreeing, I asked you what was the certainty the home would appraise at the max price. You gave a range (much less than the max) based on comps in the area of the home. Ironically, the appraiser did not use a single comp in the area where the home was, instead used sales from homes in nearby areas where the value of the homes were much higher, which drove the appraisal price of the house I bid on up. To make matters worse, there was never a "I'm sorry things did not work out for you, or I'm sorry you took a chance based on my advice and it did not work out." Instead, you contacted me three times (two via text and one voicemail) asking if I would give a copy of the appraisal to the next party interested in buying the home. When I did not respond the first two times (text msg), you left the voicemail stating the intended buyer would be willing to pay for the appraisal. That would have been a given, but again I did not respond. This update was to clarify some erroneous information stated by the agent.
