Beautiful old courthouse dated from 1886. It’s not that large but it is impressive. Pay attention to the original staircase which is very ornate. Make sure you check out the courtroom upstairs. I believe the oak tree on the right side is the same one that is in the old photo with horses and buggies from the early days.

If you are driving through Meridian Texas, stop at the courthouse square to see this beautiful clock tower on the Bosque County courthouse. (And spend a little money while there too!) I haven’t seen anything like it on any other Hill Country courthouse!
