Booking. I booked this hotel through the housing service of a professional meeting.|Check in. Appreciated the members’ gift bag with water and cookies!|Lobby. On Sunday, the lobby was full! A five-minute wait for self-service breakfast. Almost every seat in the lobby was taken. Deion welcomed everyone!|Coffee. To reduce crowding, move the two Costa Coffee machines away from each other. Move the left-hand machine to the left and move the accessories to the right. People stand shoulder to shoulder to use them. Sometimes, one machine was not in use because it was partly blocked by the person using the other machine.|Room. Good view from the twelfth floor south over K St.|Liked the room lighting. Took me a while to find all the light switches. Each switch is black on a black background.|The bathroom lights were very convenient: they switched themselves on when I walked in and switched off after about 30 minutes.|Some space for desk work, just enough to open my regular sized laptop on the table. A large device would not have fitted.|Fast Wi-Fi.

The men at the front desk were very attentive and kind. The female desk attendants were not responsive to my request for a coffee bar restock. In fact my week-long stay did not see my coffee bar refilled even once. The breakfast was busy, and they kept up as much as they could. Someone was assaulted in the lobby. There was a grocery store nearby, and a variety of restaurants. It was a convenient location. Just be aware of your surroundings.

I want to commend the entire staff for being the ultimate professionals, and showing kindness to everyone.|We will definitely be back to Washington DC and will definitely stay at your Holiday Inn express.|I want to personally thank Rachel. She went beyond to ensure our stay was satisfactory…and it was. We were very pleased with her ability to multitask, handle various issues on the phone, while taking cate of the check ins and checkouts. She always kept her composure and never lost her cool. She definitely is an asset and role model employee to your company, but a role model to everyone she comes in contact with just as a person.|Our interaction with her definitely made our stay a pleasurable one.|In addition, I’d like to thank Javon (Valet) and the gentleman working the continental breakfast. Our very big van was allowed to stay parked outside, that was very kind of the hotel staff! Even though we arrived late we still had time for a great Bible study with a few of us from different rooms, we went over Psalms 27 and had a fantastic discussion. The shower was nice and warm and I don’t smell no more thanks to the shampoo 😝. |At breakfast 🍳🥞 everyone was welcoming to our big group of around 15 idk I didn’t count. There was a cool big fake croissant. The food tasted tasty and we were cared for by Susan and Jose who were happy to help 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️real inspirations. Here is a haiku we wrote over breakfast: |The Holiday Inn,|Really tickled my pickle, |The people did too. |If I wasn’t so poor I would come here more often, but as somewhere to come not many times over it is a very good place : )

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is brilliant, everywhere is walkable including the Metro station for the airport. Room was great, and breakfast was excellent. No charge for leaving luggage for a few hours after check-out. Great value for the centre of a capital city. Only negative was that it took several phone calls and then the help of Booking.com to get my unused room deposit cancelled and back in my account.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The food at 21st Amendment is great. The location is fairly convenient to metro Station and to walk to the Mall. Our kiddo loved the roof top pool with view of the capitol dome. Place felt safe and rooms decent size for 3 people. ||Drawbacks- our room was near the tracks and we could hear train horns. The beds were hard. The thermostat would not go below 68 in our room. That felt nice coming in from outdoors but was a little too warm for sleeping comfortably.

Room was really nice. Updated look and feel. Maid service every day.
The front desk staff (especially at night) were just there. They didn't seem to care to help in any way.
Breakfast... Prepare to sit on the floor. The area is nowhere near big enough for all the people in the hotel. And the staff? Pretty rude. One morning they couldn't seem to keep up with food. One of the gentlemen was not having a good morning. He shouted at my son. "I guess you don't see me carrying a hot pan huh!?" Uh no he didn't because you just appeared behind him before yelling at him.
Location was good for the cheaper price. There's a bus stop right across the street, so it's easy to get around.

The rooms were extremely clean which is my biggest concern, very modern, brand new looking. They are small/compact but had everything we needed, including clean nice bathrooms and walk in shower. It's about 5 minutes by Uber to the national Mall, close to restaurants and the hockey arena.

The breakfast was good and Dion the breakfast man was a wonderful addition with a beautiful morning greeting and very attentive.

I stayed at this hotel with a group of friends, and we booked two rooms. We were absolutely fascinated by the service, cleanliness, rooms, and overall location. The hotel is within a reasonable walking distance from the metro, which made getting around very convenient.||I’d like to make a special mention of the breakfast service, it was exceptionally clean, and the service was excellent. There was a gentleman who seemed to be in charge of the staff and overall service; he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.||I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel even though the rooms were quite small they were clean and comfortable. The shower I give a 20 out of 10 very hot and the water pressure was 🔥 I didn't want to get out. The location was ideal, a lot of places to walk to as far as food places. I enjoyed my stay. They serce continental breakfast in the morning with some hot items.

The location is perfect if you want to be able to walk to a few attractions and also be in a good spot for driving. The room was clean and quite cozy. I also enjoyed talking to the staff as they were friendly, they also made sure we had what we needed. I would totally come back and stay here.

Outstanding welcome by front desk staff member even though our flight arrived late and it was about 11 pm. He thought about everything. He gave us sheets and blanket for the room's sofa bed as he was thorough enough to see our reservation was for 5 persons in a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. He also provided us with extra towels which was wonderful as most of the time, 5 guests end up with only 4 towels at most hotels.

Upon entering our room, we found it was very clean and the air conditioning had been turned on to a very pleasant 67 degrees for our comfort. The water pressure in the shower was outstanding! We also appreciated the daily housekeeping service to keep our room clean and tidy.

We stayed for 3 nights and only had breakfast the first morning. It was okay/standard what you can expect at any chain hotel with free breakfast. The coffee was not good to our standards, but again, this is the type of coffee available at most hotels. We walked to Starbucks for our coffee the first and second mornings. Final morning before checkout, we had coffee and breakfast at Tatte (several locations within walking distance). There are simply tons of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner nearby.

Upon checkout, we were warmly greeted and asked how our stay was.

If you are reading this, please disregard most of the negative reviews because people are simply too difficult to please. We loved the location of this hotel, it is in a safe and very convenient area to most downtown DC and special points of interest. We walked a lot and enjoyed the entire area. I highly recommend this hotel.
