we engaged Mariam Long Beach ADU Builders for the construction of an ADU in our backyard. Initially, we had a meeting with Donovan, the owner who enlightened us about the process and proposed some excellent design ideas. Subsequently, he introduced us to Jacob, their architect who, in conjunction with the engineer, oversaw the drawing until it was approved by the authorities, a process that spanned about 5 months. The ADU was then erected in four and a half months. Donovan, acting as the project manager, did an exemplary job managing the entire project. Along with the construction crew, they offered us top-notch customer service, massive assistance, and a lot of peace of mind and confidence. We were certainly impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the team. Despite the project being challenging and not cheap, we are thrilled to finally have this extra living space for rent. We had a fantastic experience working with a home remodeling company on our project. During our home hunting journey in Long Beach, we came across a house undergoing a remodel and were immediately impressed with what we saw. We knew straight away we wanted to hire his team when we bought our house. When we finally bought our house, we needed to make some improvements and had a limited budget. That's when we decided it was time to call Donovan and invite him to take a look at what we wanted done. Little did we know, a twist of luck would soon require us to need a contractor to fix some unexpected problems. Unfortunately, the copper pipes were faulty and burst after a leak, and there were cracked tiles throughout the house. Thankfully, we had Donovan's contact info handy. We brought on board a reputable home improvement company for a complete overhaul of our master bathroom and a fresh coat of paint for the bathroom and bedroom. The project spanned a couple of weeks and we were thoroughly satisfied with the outcome. The shower area had to be completely torn down and replaced with a brand new one. Our former wall-to-wall vanity spanning 84' was also removed and replaced with a 60' one. We chose to relocate and expand the closet opening to accommodate 72' mirror sliding doors. The floor required patching due to the removal of the vanity (For your information, we supplied the floor material, which was a 4-year-old vinyl plank). Throughout the project, any concerns that we had were promptly addressed to our liking, thanks to the diligent oversight of the construction lead, Jacob. The work area was tidied up daily, with the room kept securely shut during the duration of the work. A county work permit was obtained for the project. The workers were extremely courteous and kept us in the loop about the daily progress and the tasks lined up for the following day.
