While my home is not yet complete, it is nearing completion. I have reached out to the Sale Manager in the Bryan office, as well as the contractor that is responsible for the construction. I have always received rapid if not immediate responses. The only regret I have in choosing UBH, was reading the reviews where some social media sites bash the company, this delayed my decision to start the home build and had me make a couple of decisions to reduce the cost of the home. In hindsight I wish I had stuck to my original plan, but those were my decisions I view the home weekly and am happy with the build, and timeline. There are a number of things that the home buyer is responsible, and from some of the reviews I have read it seems like some folks were not prepared for those items; however, I do know this came up in my meeting at UBH and was again covered in detail at closing. I cannot wait till next month when I move in. Thanks to Damien F, Sean T, and Michael B. Also, thanks to Jennifer G for the weekly updates provided to me via email!

So far I am very pleased with UBH of Fayetteville. We have dealt mostly with Greg, he has been up front and helpful. We are currently at the foundation stage, but UBH has been excellent with every step whether it be legal or home design they have been awesome. Another thing I would note is the sub-contractors they have used so far are well seasoned and very experienced. So far UBH has removed 99% of the headaches that go along with building a house, I’m not sure you can really put a price tag on that.

I'd say overall it was a good experience with UBH, Greg and Rick are super easy to get a hold of if you have questions or concerns. Anytime I needed anything they were there to help. Thank you for our new house!

I’m very happy with my home. They were fast, communication was great, and they took me serious when I said I wanted to build a home. I didn’t know anyone who used UBH before me and we stumbled upon them driving to Tulsa. After a year of builders blowing me off it was great to find one that just wants to build homes and make you happy.

We recently completed our home build with UBH, and the entire process took around four months from start to finish. We were very pleased with the efficiency and organization of the team. Everyone we interacted with was knowledgeable, attentive, and responsive to our needs throughout the build.

One area where we experienced a bit of a challenge was communication on-site, as many of the subcontractors did not speak English. This occasionally made it difficult to ask questions or get quick updates during the process and required us to reach out to the job supervisor for clarification.

That said, the end result is a beautiful home delivered on time, and we appreciate UBH’s commitment to quality and customer service. We would definitely recommend them to others looking for a streamlined and professionally managed home build.

I previously wrote a wonderful review for this company but that was before their work & this process was all said and done.

Last December we visited with Colin Caldwell and tried to get a house built on our land. We needed money to fill the gap of our LTV ratio but we didn’t have it, so we moved on. Fast forward to May this year. We get a call from them out of the blue, saying they could do it for no money down, everything is ready to go. They broke ground beginning of June. In September, the house was turned over to us and we got the keys.

They do not provide interior paint, gutters, flooring, and they don’t do anything with the surrounding ground.
Out of pocket I have been responsible for:
•interior paint
•flooring
•water & electric hookup
•driveway
•sod & grading front yard
•post construction cleaning
•towel bars, toilet paper holders & mirrors
& probably a few other things I’m missing.

We also had to turn on our water from the meter, had to pay someone $75 to come out and clamp a ring on the water line because their plumber wouldn’t do it, had to fill the hot water tank ourselves which was incredibly stressful for a first time homeowner… I feel like they threw this house up as quickly as possible, threw the keys at us as quickly as possible and don’t care if it’s even ready to be lived in. The payments will start, regardless. They had their cleaner come too early, so the house was still full of mud & was incredibly dusty. We paid someone to come clean and I’ve spent several days cleaning, trying to get all the dust out. We had to fill all the holes in the trim, ourselves. They just nailed them and left them as is. The shower isn’t sloped correctly, only one side is sloped so the other side will just collect water. The grout work is terrible. They set our cabinets & countertops too low so the dishwasher BARELY fit. The ceiling fans were put in completely wrong rooms, so they came out to fix it but someone peed in our toilet that wasn’t hooked up to sewer yet. It sat there for 2 months. They installed the tub before the roof so when it rained over the summer, the tub filled with water and it wasn’t emptied until right before keys were given to us, and they didn’t clean it. It was left disgusting, just drained. When the AC was installed, they didn’t put a plug on so it leaked water everywhere, into the closets and bedrooms.

It is now days before Christmas and we failed our final inspection because no grading has been done, no driveway is there, no flooring (even though I decided to keep the concrete)… the list goes on. I’m going to have thousands of dollars worth of secondary loans just to be allowed to get into this home. What is supposed to be a somewhat stressful but exciting endeavor has turned into a situation that is actually just hurting my financial and mental state. I’m feeling defeated and beyond frustrated.

I spoke with Jerry. He walked me through all the many home designs and options, and explained the many preferences within the options I can choose, such as placement of external garage door if a garage is chosen, and cabinet design and finish I would prefer, to list a couple. Really feels like I would be able to design exactly what I want.

This has been the most frustrating experience of my life and I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy! They will lie to you over and over again. They will ignore your requests, ignore your phone calls. They will charge you for work that they didn’t do. They are extremely unprofessional! The superintendent will be on your job site for maybe one hour a month. So they miss are sorts of issues and don’t manage their trades. Do yourself a favor and go with a different company! It is not worth the stress, frustration, and anger. Also look up United Built Home Problems group on facebook. There is a huge group of people who tell their experience and their frustrations with this company. I have been in my home now for four months. They still have not completed the punchlist. There are many things wrong. And they refuse to address any of them. They ignore your text. They ignore your phone calls.
