When we decided to remodel our whole house, we interviewed total 6 of contractors within 6 months. It was a time consuming and painful process because we didn’t want to make a wrong decision. From the sales presentation to physically visited their ongoing projects, Joseph from GMJ Construction impressed us the most. He explained to us the whole process and the owner, Memo, also provided the technical suggestions in details. We were convinced by their positive attitude and professional knowledge, we decided to hire them to be our contractor.

The workers showed up on time, they always cleaned up the job site before they finished the day work. We met with Joseph, Uriel and Memo to review the progress and what to do next whenever we needed.

GMJ Construction is very reasonable and flexible when working with us. They valued our feedback about their work, crews always asked me: “Are you happy with our work?” every time when I stopped by the job site. They took every comment we made seriously.

When hiring a contractor for a job whether it is big or small is not easy specially when you want them to do the work properly with the right price to your satisfaction. We went through different contractors and decided to go with GMJ Construction.

Joseph Malka was the project manager assigned to us. We are very happy to have him on board with our project together with Memo, Uriel, Ramin, Ofir, Omar, Sarah, Jaime, and the rest of the crews. They were very professional, easy to communicate, and Joseph always answer our concerns and questions every time he came to check on the work progress even on his busy schedule.

The scope of the work includes replacing wood beams, wood sidings, front columns, new front stairs and landing, backyard cement patio and exterior paint.

At one point the project was put on hold while waiting for the approval from the City. Joseph tries to keep the project going even with the delayed and the difficulties we encounter. GMJ crews understand and response to our concerns, issues that need to be address and they response in a timely manner until the project was completed. We are very satisfied with the work and its workmanship and the work crews keep the job site clean after they are done.

Joseph even gave us recommendation for hvac and roofing company which we decide to work with. They were also very professional and the workmanships was very satisfactory. We greatly appreciate Joseph for the recommendation.

So, in conclusion we are very happy with the results and will use them again in our future project and definitely recommend them.

We've been looking for a contractor from Palo Alto, CA for our bathrooms remodeling project for a while until we chose to go with GMJ Construction.
We were very impressed with Joseph, our project manager, from the first meeting. He was very knowledgeable, professional and easy to talk to. We valued a lot the fact the hiring him meant he took care of all from A-Z, he referred us to the right showrooms and the right vendors and made sure we got the best price for the best materials so that we wouldn't have to spend time researching ourselves.
We are very happy with how our bathrooms turned out (beautiful!) and couldn't have made a better decision than hiring GMJ Construction to do this project. The whole remodeling process went as smoothly as possible and we managed to stay within our budget. I highly recommend Joseph and will definitely hire him again for future work!

We contacted GMJ Construction to get an estimate on some considerable kitchen and bathroom remodeling we wanted to get done. Memo was able to check out the house on relatively short notice and spent a good amount of time walking through the project, giving me his thoughts, and taking measurements. He came off as super experienced and honest, even taking the time to give me his thoughts on other contractors' estimates. His estimate was very detailed and the pricing was fair compared to others in Saratoga.
The experience with GMJ and Memo was a memorable and very positive one. We will most definitely be returning customers, as we have more home remodeling projects ahead.

Joseph and GMJ Construction fully renovated our outdated bathroom and did an amazing job! We loved how Joseph really listened to us from the beginning, worked within our budget, and was just generally great to work with. The crew kept the space clean and we were able to live at the house the entire time the work was being done. We had heard renovation horror stories from friends but for us, the process couldn't have been easier.

GMJ Construction did a project for us that started in January this year. I found Uriel on GMB. Initially, I asked Joseph to give me a quote on drywall repair and painting. We noticed water damage in one of our rooms and we wanted to get it fixed.

Lesson for all homeowners, once you open a wall you have no idea what's behind it. It was like being one of those people on HGTV where you kept finding more damage. A project that we thought was going to be drywall repair in one room turned into Re-Siding the whole exterior of the home. There was water damage throughout the house and our deck had termite damage.

To my surprise, Joseph informed me that he would be able to do the whole project. Hs work went beyond drywall and painting. For a project that was this big, it was difficult getting contractors to come out and even provide a quote. We decided to go with Joseph.

The project included:
- Drywall and paint in one of our bedrooms
- Install new wood flooring in that bedroom
- Demo of old wood siding on exterior
- Replaced nearly all windows on exterior of the house
- Add Insulation and Waterproof layer to the exterior walls
- Stucco Siding and Paint on Exterior of the House
- Replace Electrical Panel
- Patch up and paint drywall in certain rooms of the house that had damage as a result of the demo of the siding
- Install two new exterior decks in the backyard.

Overall, my wife and I are very satisfied with the work and service provided by Joseph and GMJ Construction. I thought GMJ Construction did a great job on our project. I would consider using them again in the future.
