We found Dakini Engineering and General Contracting to be a very honest, professional and innovative company. These values are a reflection of the owner and founder, Dana Ansell. Dana was always looking for the best solutions to remodeling problems and saw them as challenges to be overcome. His "can do attitude" was very inspiring to us. He did this time and time again when no one else could find a solution. His solutions and designs were often ingenious, creative, cost conscious and really worked. Dana brings a very strong work ethic and natural curiousity to any problem he encounters. He was not afraid to encourage us to take design risks that made the whole construction process more creative, exciting and satisfying. He provided a great all around remodelling/engineering experience, which is no small feat in today's world.

We asked Dana for a consultation on the source of the moisture in the slub that destroyed our wooden flooring. There were a few potential sources, and few other specialists recommended completely different, very expensive measures to prevent that happening in the future.

Dana is very professional, punctual, perceptive, detail oriented. His vast experience and amounts knowledge about everything in this field is very impressive!
He did a very thorough inspection of our entire property, clearly identified the exact causes of the problem and came up with a very reasonable recommendations, gave references of the companies to do quality work.
He could’ve recommended us something his company does, and we would’ve hired them. But he said we don’t really need it. We trust him completely and recommend him to anyone with foundation, yard, slub, leak problem.

Absolutely the most inconsiderate company to family neighborhoods. Their crew is incredibly rude and disrespectful. Their employees consistently park in people's driveways, leave litter and walk all over neighbors plants and yards. Even when politely asked to stop they are rude. I've got pics too. Don't use this company unless you want to upset all your neighbors.

Update as of 5/2/2021 - this is not a fake review. We were neighbors to someone who used this company and during the whole time the contract was being executed, the behavior listed above was done. I do hope things have changed but it was a horrific process to us as neighbors to have his company next to our property. Very very rude. I still remember the interaction to this day.
