I give Great Falls Construction and its owner, Ken Merritt, my highest recommendation. Ken is a true craftsman with deep knowledge about any and every type of construction project you may need for your home. I first hired them for an extensive basement and home remodel. Their top-notch work added tremendous value and livability to our home. They removed and relocated walls to provide space for a large antique pool table, reconfigured the space to add two lower level bedrooms, installed a beautiful full bathroom, and added significant artistic elements including tile and stone work that really made the space special. I next worked with them on a kitchen remodel, which significantly upgraded and transformed the space and was completed ahead of schedule. They later also reconfigured my office space in Washington, D.C. transforming a bland space into an attractive and useful area with built-in wood shelves and cabinets. I have also seen examples of Ken's work on large scale home construction projects and the results are truly amazing. Ken and Great Falls Construction are perfect for any medium to large bespoke construction project. Ken also happens to be one of the nicest people you could meet and is a pleasure to work with. We loved our experience with Great Falls Construction! They did an extensive remodel on our townhouse kitchen, and it looks amazing! I think you can find a lot of builders who have technical skills, but what impressed me most about Great Falls was their combination of technical skills (they were excellent) with superb aesthetic and artistic sense. They collaborated closely with us and our designer, and I loved the way they were able to advise and guide us on making our dream kitchen a reality. I’ve heard nightmare stories about contractors who fail to show up and fail to fully complete jobs, so I was very grateful to find a construction company that was honest, skillful, and communicative. We hired Ken at Great Falls Construction to remodel two upstairs bathrooms. We reclaimed unused space out of the attic/roof line and were able to expand the bathrooms significantly. We added a washer and dryer to one of the bathrooms. We've been very happy with the remodeled bathrooms and appreciate the quality of work.
