Stop voting Democrat cause that makes a difference. Ya’ll continue to vote in the same foolishness and nothing changes. These people are deplorable! No one should have to live or be treated in the way that you have. My sister and her fiance’ live under these same people, the Petersburg Redevelopment Authority and they are very unprofessional and uncaring. It’s ridiculous!

My experience has been great! They helped me with in 3 months which I expected it wouldn’t be overnight anyways and my small little family a beautiful apartment and made it extremely affordable!
They are friendly.
If I could change one thing it would be to hire more maintenance workers, it takes a bit more time than it should to get a call back when something needs fixing but I’m so grateful for the place that I can live with that.
It’s like a big family here at the complex I live in

Petersburg housing authority is by far the absolute worst. I’m not from Virginia and was planning on relocating my family there. They make me sick to my stomach with the level of disrespect and lack of concern. If there were no one to need housing there would be mo use for a housing authority. The customers are right majority of the time. They way Nadine Massey talks to people makes me think of relapsing to the person I used to be. For a town that is high poverty, high crimes, low test scores for schools along with low graduation rates….. all that shows when you contact Petersburg housing authority. Extremely heartbreaking oh and I only put the one star because I had to in order to write my review. My rating for the Petersburg housing authority would no stars and a recommendation for counseling k bye 👋

Lashawn Forhand is a very rude woman. They will curve rules depending on who you are. They do NOT follow federal guidelines. I have been denied a larger unit multiple times for illegitimate reasons and forced to stay in a 2 br with 5 people. Please contact the national housing director if you feel as though you are a victim of discrimination.

HUD programs such as PRHAs are designed to help people with low income find safe and affordable housing. However when speaking to receptionist at this location you’ll find that the conversation it’s nonchalant which baffles me. It’s like everything is black and white with them. Yes or no type of thing. If they can’t help you such as waiting list are closed etc. then they should be able to direct you to other resources that’s available to help. HUD created Emergency Vouchers to help those who need shelter but how do you ask about something when you are made to feel like they’re shutting you down. These people are held in positions that they shouldn’t be held in simply because no one is willing or care enough to help those that need help.

Finished orientation thinking I would have a place. Submitted all required paperwork etc….40 days In and still nothing. Why is it so hard to get help when you really need it?

I ported my Section 8 from Richmond to Petersburg. They do not return telephone calls and service is HORRIBLE! AND LESS THAN HELPFUL. I am totally disappointed!!!
