UPDATE After install: Alan and Oscar were top notch. They communicated with us every day of the project, finished way ahead of schedule, and put out a finished product that blew our doors off. James, the superintendent called both before and after install to make sure we were happy and knew what to expect. Also I cannot forget Adam and Tyler, the electricians, what a refreshing construction experience this was. Worth every single penny, and now we know we can finish this area of our basement with no worries about water ever again! I can't forget our inspector, Brandon did follow up before and after the installation, this company really cares, really communicates and does a job you would expect when you hire a real company to do your foundation work. We looked at a lot of competitors, JES was the least expensive out of all the others and the sales and service from beginning to end was top notch! Truly appreciate these guys and will have a lifelong relationship with them!!

We were shocked by the results we received when this company came so highly recommended. For the price that we spent, we expected a completed job done safely and yet we received neither. We hired them for a basement leak and they installed a sump pump. When they “finished” the job, our county came out to inspect the work (that WE had to remind JES to schedule, WEEKS after the initial project was done) and it then failed inspection. JES is supposed to be the one to schedule this inspection so we’ve been waiting for them to come out, put it up to standard to pass inspection, and then reschedule the inspection. We’ve contacted them for MONTHS with no forward movement and this whole ordeal started a YEAR ago when they started the project. Our basement has exposed walls because we can’t dry wall until it passes inspection. We’re pregnant with twins and can’t get our house in order until this is done and it’s so frustrating that this company is just ghosting us! They’ve scheduled to come out before but then no call-no showed us. Three separate times we were told Adam (a manager) would reach out to us, how sorry they were, etc and each time we’ve heard nothing from him. Now they’re dodging our calls and won’t even respond to voicemails. Tip of the iceberg, when doing their repairs, they left exposed wire behind which my husband found and had to fix himself to keep our house safe because JES has failed to respond to us. We paid over $10,000 for unfinished, unsafe work that can’t pass inspection. We’ll be going to the news and then court if needed - We’re getting the work done or our money back. No in between. To know this is how they treat first responders has honestly just dumbfounded me and is eye opening to the company they truly are. Go somewhere else for work that needs done or be prepared to be scammed and ghosted as we were.

For paying 10,600 dollars, I have submitted far too many service requests for the presence of water due to the dehumidifier pump failing, liner seals not holding, and most recently the liner being compromised by their service agent. I was told multiple times I needed to call a plumber for leaks, which I did causing unnecessary expenses. After two years, a service agent recognized the pump was indeed failing. In October 2024, the pump failed for the 4th time and a service agent replaced the pump. Due to the significant amount of water present in the crawlspace, the service agent cut the liner in several locations and failed to properly dry the liner, therefore, the tape to close the seams did not seal leaving the crawlspace exposed and leaving water present once again. JES has been out 3 times since then to try and fix the problem but as of 3/20/2025, their shop manager and Richmond General Manager has pushed my concerns and issues aside with no response from them since 2/27/25. I have taken off work multiple times over the years for service and most recently for the shop supervisor to not show on 2/27/25 as arranged. I have contacted JES 6 times in the last 3 weeks to only continue to get put on the urgency list with no call back or told it would be escalated. I was promised I would have a resolution by March 3 by the General Manager.

UPDATE: I have been fighting tooth and nail to try and get someone back to my home to see the mess that is happening with the so-called solution. I have been ghosted, ignored, and just made to feel unimportant. All along, still paying the bill. And having to deal with people knocking on my door, saying you have a busted water pipe; I’m tired of explaining to my neighbors that it’s not a busted water pipe. It was just a bad job done by JES. I really would appreciate someone showing me the courtesy I received when I first went to JES and was thinking about having them do this work for me. called the office today to ask for a manager, and that was painful. Customer service 101, if you have an upset, customer, don’t interrupt them just listen and take notes. This young lady couldn’t do that. I really wish that someone would pay attention to this and call me immediately because now I will stop paying the bill . This is going on too long and I’m tired of having to beg them to come and look at the mess they created. Do better! Do better!

I had a subsidence problem that was addressed by a multi-pronged approach, a series of push piers to stabilize the perimeter of the foundation and central supports to level central beams of my home's frame. The house is now stable. The crews that did the site work were careful of my property, courteous, and showed no aversion nor complaint to go the extra mile to hand dig where it was obvious that the heavy equipment could not be brought into my fenced-in property. The communication throughout the process was great and sales support was responsive and helpful. This company hires, respects, and assists veterans.

The crew that worked at our Ballard Drive address did an excellent job. Ibrahim was exceptionally polite and respectful. He would give an update at the end of each day and was perfectly correct on their target date to complete.
