There is not enough words for me to give praise to my realtor, Tim Sproles with Highlands Realty. I have worked with Tim on three separate occasions, and each time he made sure that everything went very smoothly. If there was ever anything I needed he was always a text or a phone call away and resolved any issues quickly and with minimal effort on my part. Tim is not just a realtor. He truly cares about his work and the people that come into his life. I can honestly say that Tim is a friend and I am forever grateful for everything he has done for me and my family .

Tim Sproles is an excellent realtor and represents a great team at Highlands Realty in Bristol Virginia.
Our story begins with us retiring from New Jersey and looking for our dream home on a lake. Finding a realtor was the easiest part of the process, Tim was highly recommended to us as the best in the business in this area.
We came to Bristol to start the process we thought would take many months. We discussed our budget requirements and what we were looking for in a home with Tim. To our amazement he found our dream home in short order…3 days!
While looking at the homes we felt Tim genuinely cared about making sure we were comfortable with the home we were buying and the price we were paying. He helped us to stay within our budget instead of showing us homes exceeding our comfort level. Tim was able to help us identify the wonderful attributes to the house we considering, but also helped us to identify and work through the short comings with the house we picked out.
After visiting and finding “The House”, we returned to NJ. We would not be present in the area to coordinate all of the actions necessary to move forward with purchasing a home.
Also, Buying a home in Virginia was a whole new experience compared to how they do real estate business in NJ. We were at a loss for how to navigate through the process.
Tim handled EVERYTHING! He did so in a supportive, professional manner with excellent, timely communication and follow-up with every detail.
Tim was always available to us and very knowledgeable. His communication was superb, it never felt like we were 9 plus hours away.
Tim recommended a Home Inspector, Home Financing Advisor, roofer, septic inspector, insurance rep, and contractor to partner with us and they all exceeded our expectations.
The home inspection left us with numerous issues, many we would resolve as the new home owners but the big issues, required Tim’s help to move forward! Roof, support beams, and HVAC, all were potentially high cost issues. Tim scheduled a roofer and contractor for estimates and negotiated for seller to make repairs. Because of his due diligence with resolving our issues, we own our dream house, a place we can live our happily ever after!

We began this process as realtor and client and we feel like we ended this process with our dream home and Tim as a friend. We highly recommend Tim and Highland’s Realty and would always contact Tim to list or buy a home!

I'm sure Highlands Realty is a great company, as they have many good reviews. Unfortunately with Cindy, we did not have a 5 star experience. We are currently living out of state while looking for a large piece of land around the tri-cities area, so we reached out for a realtor to help us through the process. Cindy started out enthusiastically for the first couple of weeks, sending us several property links to look into. We were recently able to travel to VA to visit a few of the properties, so we planned to take this opportunity to meet Cindy and begin our relationship with her for the remainder of our search. She excitedly let us know she was happy to work with us, so we began planning. Not two days before our trip out there, she let us know via text that she wouldn't come to any of the properties scheduled for the first day we were in town (red flag number one), but set them up for us to go alone. I had to ask multiple times just to get directions to the properties we were sent to without her. The second day, she was supposed to meet us at one property and set up several additional visits for us to go alone. She did not set up the additional visits, and told us to "just go ahead" unannounced...
At that point, we were already planning to politely let her know (in person) that we were going to find a new realtor that was invested in us. As we were driving from over an hour away to FINALLY meet her at the last property (that was her own listing not even remotely close to checking off any box on our list...) I reached out to ask her for the exact address as she instructed me to do. She then simply responded, as we were not even 30 minutes away, that she would not make it. We have heard nothing from her since. She knew this was our only chance to meet her as we were headed out of town. Cindy chose to waste our time, be dishonest, and then 'ghost' us rather than have the decency and professionalism to at least let us know if we weren't a good fit for her limited knowledge of the land sale process.
