It seems Ames needs to teach it's side dump drivers a lesson in becoming accountable. Between the time when one of their drivers denied any responsibility for destroying my car's windshield a day and a half ago and now I've spent at least two hours talking to the driver, taking photos of his vehicle, figuring out how to resolve this since the driver refused to let me have a photo of his license or insurance when I asked, etc.

And that's so far; how much longer this will take of my time because their employee wouldn't take responsibility? I don't know. All he did was deny, and say he had no idea how Ames handles busted windshields behind their dump trucks. Ames is a huge construction company headquartered in Minnesota -- they have dump trucks all over the country. He kept denying even after I swiped my fingertip through the freshly smashed windshield of my car, and picked up small pieces of shiny glass that clearly reflected off my fingertip. Give me a break.

And because 20 minutes of searching for an email address to contact someone at either the Utah office or HQ in MN was unsuccessful today, maybe Ames will see this.

Oh, and one other thing -- isn't it illegal for a vehicle to not have matching license plates on front and back? That's what this rig has, in addition to its poorly trained driver. Maybe the Utah DMV should know about this?

I spoke with a Mr. Greg Lahr, about some damage that was done to my property. Greg was incredibly difficult to work with and unprofessional. His first sentence on the phone was to ask me what I wanted to complain about, which was odd way to greet someone since we have never spoken before. We had emailed on multiple occasions, however he was not timely in his responses and rather then using an Ames domain they are running all of their communication through a Gmail account. He proceeded to tell me they "fixed" my damage at 10pm the prior evening, I called him out on his lie since it would be impossible to fix the issue at 10pm at night, he then said they "fixed" my damage at 6am this morning, which also would not be physically possible. And we would have noticed someone on our property as we keep our gates locked. After Greg realized I was not going to be lied to he then said he would submit my claim and he would personally see it instantly denied. I then asked to speak with his manager and he refused to provide any additional contact information. I'm not sure how any organization would let such an unprofessional individual have any sort of involvement in any public facing position. Damage is still not corrected.

Well, it's very simple, this company does not care if they damage your car or not. I was traveling on I-80 eastbound in the fast lane following a couple of vehicles. The car in front of me quickly swerved clear over to the slow lane. As I observed this car swerve and make its way over I was struck by a large rock breaking my windshield. Just as that happened I could see a red truck in front of me dropping rocks off of it. I to swerved and changed lanes and all other cars behind me did as well. I was able to continue to watch rocks come off this vehicle. I was able to get a picture of the truck and truck number. Also in my pictures, you can see all the traffic behind me moving over to the slow lane. I called Ames Construction who got me in touch with Andy Anderson, Andy advised me that he spoke with his driver and his driver said it wasn't him and that he had just washed his truck. Then advised me it's a MISFORTUNE...and to let my ins. know and that this is not the fault of the company or his driver. This does not sit well with me. I have had broken windshields before, and I know if it comes from the road or off a vehicle or not. This was clearly coming from the Ames truck. NOT COOL AMES!!!

Damaged my car. Their equipment shot a rock and made hole through the side of my car. 3 months later and still nothing has been done. Said they'd take care of it and now getting the run around. Thanks so much from a hard working citizen that takes pride in their stuff.😡

Tell your employee in the red Chevy truck driving through Southern Utah that the left lane is for passing not for cruising. Stay out of the passing lane.
