This was an absolutely terrible experience. We hired Acres to do our septic and drain field mapping for new construction. They took weeks longer than quoted and then wanted to come out and do a second test once we questioned them on the timing. They told us that we would need a very expensive alternative system (which was false when we went with another company). After speaking with several septic installers to get a quote for said system, they advised us that most Septic Companies won’t even work off of Acres’ maps because they are so difficult to deal with. Dr. Brooks talked down as if he was doing us a favor, though technically he was hired and paid by us to do a job. Though we ended the job and did not get the completed map and report, we were not offered any money back or anything to rectify the situation. Our request to end all work on our property was met with unprofessional attitude and questioning. This experience was extremely frustrating, it costed us an unnecessary extra 2k and delayed our progress towards a building permit. 10/10 do not recommend.

Had the pleasure of meeting Jacob Brooks Jr. He is very nice young man and very pleasant to deal with. I tell all customers to allow 2 months ahead of time to have survey and soil work done for well and septic. It's a lot of work to prepare before they come out and with weather all ways plan to do early as possible. Jacob designed a nice septic system and customer was very pleased with survey. They draw up a first-class system and are locally owned and operated.

Wow, what a great and easy going team. The 2 young gentleman who surveyed my property in Mad Hghts were friendly and professional. They went above and beyond to find my property line. I was really surprised by the end of the survey to find I actually had more property than I thought and on top of that, the lead surveyor found and handed me a four leaf clover. Sometimes it's the smaller things that bring us even more joy. Also, the gentleman, Mr Brooks was super nice and didn't mind rescheduling when I got the appointment day mixed up. If I ever need land surveyed again, I can guarantee that I would use this team again. Kudos to Acres of VA. 👍

We contracted Acres to perform work for our septic and paid them in November of 2020. After calling weekly for months now, we still have no work completed and the owner wont even dignify us with a response via email or call. We've requested a refund both by email and phone multiple times and they wont even call us back or respond to the emails. Don't trust this company with your hard earned money, they are not responsive and don't seem to want to do work they were paid to do. We've hired a more professional contractor from Charlottesville to handle our work now due to this companies lack of effort both in the work itself and their ability to respond.

Our entire experience with this office was really bad. We had a survey done to sell off half of our property. The first time we met, they didn't know who we were and told us they hadn't done a survey, even though it was done and paid for. When we finally actually received the plat, literally every name on it was spelled incorrectly, some names spelled three different ways (all wrong). There were several other errors as well, which the department of Planning and Zoning told us to correct. These changes were brought to their attention over a month before anything was done about it. When they finally gave us a re-print, none of the issues had been corrected. Everyone on staff seemed perpetually confused and unhelpful, and now we've been set back several months in the building process. Would definitely not advise using this office for your building projects.

I have some sagging areas of the house, and called them to come out for an inspection. Payment was required upfront. During the visit no notes were taken, no photos were taken, no measurements were taken. I was promised a design build proposal so that deficiencies could be corrected. I got nothing. I called, emailed...no response. $500 down the drain.

Acres of VA did a survey and my Perc test on a large property for me and were very reasonably priced and did a great job marking the boundaries for me. Each of the employees I met from the guys in the field to Mr Brooks Sr were all professional and made it an easy process!
