Century Communities built our home in 2022. It was an absolute nightmare. Lots of repairs were done, and they were not minor. Their management has been rude to my family and community (Manager - Bryce). Once you get outside of your first year warranty, management rarely responds and doesn’t address concerns (Utah District Manager - Dean). For example, we live in an HOA community and have been paying an HOA board since we moved in. The city says that an HOA for our community has not been created and has attempted to contact the builder, no response. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you’re wanting a new build.

I purchased a home in Copper Rim in West Jordan, and I am absolutely thrilled with the entire experience. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The home is beautifully built, and I couldn’t be happier with the quality of craftsmanship. The construction managers who worked on the house were professional, attentive, and clearly dedicated to ensuring everything was done right. It’s evident that a lot of care went into every detail.

Additionally, working with the financing team was a smooth and stress-free process. They were incredibly helpful, transparent, and took the time to walk me through all my options, making sure I fully understood everything. Their support made securing the right mortgage a much easier experience than I anticipated.

Overall, I’m incredibly satisfied with my decision to buy in Copper Rim and would highly recommend both the community and the team behind it to anyone looking for a new home. The combination of quality construction, excellent customer service, and a smooth financing process has made this an unforgettable experience.

We purchased a home in Mapleton Heights, and I felt compelled to share my experience, especially since I typically don’t leave reviews. Prior to this, we had never heard of Century Communities, and this marks my third new build home purchase. Given my previous experiences with other builders, we came in with cautious optimism, not expecting much.

However, I was genuinely surprised by how different Century Communities is from the rest. From the moment we began the process, it was clear that they prioritize their buyers and it’s evident that they take pride in their work. The agent and project manager were phenomenal to work with.

I've spoken with many of my neighbors, and they have all shared similar positive experiences. I truly wish they had been around 20 years ago when we started my home-buying journey, as our past experiences would have been much more enjoyable.

If we ever decide to build again in the future, there’s no doubt that I would choose Century Communities. They have set a new standard in homebuilding, and I’m grateful for a builder who cares. Highly recommended!

We recently purchased our home through Century Communities, and the entire process was smooth and efficient. The Sales agent was very responsive. Von was great to deal with, he really made us feel comfortable and was proactive in addressing any minor issues during walkthrough and ensured we were satisfied.
The communication throughout the process was pretty good.

Overall horrible experience with this builder! They will take advantage of you with subpar workmanship. Their homes are built to look pretty, but that's it. Once you really deep dive into inspection, you will notice defects and cut corners everywhere.

I have more issues than I can write but I will include a few big items. For example, hardly any spots of our home was primed properly, so we have peeling paint everywhere in the house. The paint has blisters and signs of improper time between coats as well. When I brought this up to warranty, they just shrugged shoulders and offered to send painters to touch up the spots, who still didn't use primer even when I told them. This is not some touch up issue, this is an entire house issue! The paint peels off the wall just by touching it! Not only this but there are multiple spots that never were painted. My neighbors all say the same thing too.

Their performance standards are terrible. I have multiple walls and doors that are bowed, crooked, or slanted. Once you see them, you can't unsee it. One of the doors even swings open by how far off it is and slams into the wall and door next to it. This is all 'normal' to their performance standards and is "not considered a defect." It's a joke!

Multiple squeaky floors, that are 'normal'. One or two squeaky floors are normal in winter months, not several locations year round!

They also cut corners in the crawl space, and it doesn't even come close to state residential code. It's missing proper ventilation, debris was everywhere, including moldy items under the encapsulation; and improper encapsulation and insulation.

They lied to us about our included landscape. We were told that it would match the HOA requirements when we were signing the initial contract and were even given a map of it. But the actual product is not what we were told and I'm missing trees. The warranty department shrugged this off as well. Now I got to rip out improper placed trees and drip lines and redo the landscape to the HOA plan.

The house that we initially thought was our dream home, and looked outstanding now feels like a prison, and we are stuck here! I'm honestly worried about safety, safety from air quality coming from the crawl space and worried that all the cut corners could mean foundation and framing issues I do not see. I honestly feel like im living in the movie "Money Pit" in a way, except the cost wasn't cheap so I do not have the resources to repair it. Do yourself a favor and look to another builder! Any other builder would probably be better than Century Communities, and in my experience of multiple new builds it is.

I would even consider changing my review if I even get the HOA landscape and crawl space fixed, as those are my biggest concerns.

I've been happy with our home and the warranty service Century has provided us.

I'd give build quality a 3/5 and warranty/customer service a 3/5.

I'd say the build quality of the home is okay, not terrible, not great. There is a lack of attention to details because of how quick the homes were built and because of the skill of the crew I assume.

Some examples
- There is a bow in one of the walls.
- The casings, trimmings, and floors around the house have some noticeable flaws, such as odd dips, noticable cuts where joined (in the middle of a baseboard or trim piece).
- Missed caulking between cabinets and wall.
- Missing stub for water softener.

Century has done a great job fixing issues:
- Fixed a missed strap around a gutter downspout.
- Fixed a warped vinyl floor board.
- Fixed a bad vent connection from the bathroom to the outside of the house that was causing noticeable exterior water damage.
- Fixed a punctured ac hose.
- Fixed an incorrect sized furnace coil.
- Installed a crawl space fan to help with air circulation.
- Fixed a mismatched colored door knob.
- Fixed a damaged gate fence caused by rock wall repair crew.
- Fixed a culinary water leak due to a bad connection.

I was happy century installed half of our landscaping when we moved in, that was a nice perk.

For the most part customer service has been decent. Communication could be better, it can be slow to get an update sometimes.

After reading some of the other reviews people left I wanted to try and portray my candid experience, the good and the bad, because overall my experience has been pretty decent with the home builder.
