Stephen and his team are awesome! I am not a visionary and needed to lean on them for ideas and direction. My backyard is a small area that was essentially a blank slate once I had trees and a fountain previously removed, providing more precious square feet. With Black Diamond and their recommended contractors’ help, I now have a beautiful pergola, new deck, lower living area with a fire pit and overall clean look. It’s also minimal water usage, ideal for UT. I plan to use Stephen and many of the contractors again. My only feedback is to stay in regular communication with all parties to ensure continuity.

Did not complete the work and the work that was done was poor. Topsoil was not installed under the lawn, the drainage, which was called out, was never installed. Combined with the damage done to the home during their backfilling process led to leaking inside the home and pooling in the lawn. Never finished the front of the home, never installed the required and line itemized bluetooth controller. Boulder wall failing after one winter. To top it off, they filed a frivolous lawsuit against me.

Working with the crew at Black Diamond Landscape and Lighting was fantastic. They were highly professional and hardworking. The hard landscape in our front and back yards looks absolutely amazing. Even after the job was completed, they promptly addressed our needs and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Our entire experience with Black Diamond was fantastic! Jake first hooked us up with a landscape designer to create a comprehensive plan of our project. This really helped us, because we are in no way experts on trees, plants, and their needs. With the plan in hand, we worked closely with Jake to tweak the layout to fit our budget and goals for the new yard.

Black Diamond was able to start our project quite quickly. Job foreman, Julio, impressively coordinated each day’s activities, and worked right alongside his guys. The entire team was delightful.They arrived early every day, and boy did they work hard. Always pleasant, they worked well as a team, and never hesitated to answer questions and make adjustments. They took their jobs very seriously.

Black Diamond showed up every morning, and turned our tired yard into the beautiful oasis we are enjoying today. (See our before and after photos.)

Black diamond was awesome to work with! We got 3 bids and they were the most competitive for our pavers, fire pit, and in ground trampoline. They asked all the right questions along the way to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted. They started work when they said they would and exceeded our expectations in quality of work. Black Diamond was absolutely incredible and I'm recommending them to all my friends and family! Before and after photos show their amazing work but they're so much more than what you see.

I had met with two other landscape companies before someone recommended Black Diamond to me. The first company asked what my budget was before anything regarding the project. When I gave him a broad range he wanted me to tell him exactly how much I was willing to pay. When I wouldn't be specific, he disengaged mentally and acted completely uninterested while I talked about the project. (I'm a woman and am certain misogyny was the issue.) The second company was certainly better but I didn't leave our meeting excited about the project or ready to jump in. I was wary to meet yet another landscaper but since they were recommended, I did. Steve came out to my house and it was a completely different experience from the others. He listened intently to my ideas, saw my vision, and had great suggestions when I asked for advice. He answered all my questions and explained the process clearly. It was amazing to finally have someone that seemed just as excited about my project as me. I was thrilled to sign a contract with Black Diamond and get started.

My second meeting was with Jake, who would manage my project from start to finish. I had the same great experience with him as we talked through specifics and nailed down the details. Then the fun began. Jake and his team are absolutely amazing! They worked non-stop, day in and day out, and were so incredibly respectful and nice. I couldn't believe how they cleaned everything up, sweeping and tidying, every single night before they left. I was also blown away while they were laying the rock in the back yard, I noticed them placing each outline rock meticulously, then walking away a distance to look at it, then go back and move it an inch or two. I actually teared up knowing they were paying as much attention to detail as I would. Throughout the build, I was indecisive on a few things and changed my mind on several things. Jake was as an absolute saint and so patient while helping me make decisions and gracefully making changes I requested to work they had done exactly according to plan.

Beyond planting trees/bushes and laying rock, my project included replacement of the entire previously useless irrigation system all the way from the city pipes, creating a patio with wrap around steps, and moving and extending a fence. Black Diamond's technical skill with construction was invaluable.

I could go on forever with so mny incredible details I know wouldn't have happened with any other company. I absolutely cannot say enough about Black Diamond, Jake, and their entire team. I have them on speed dial to build my patio cover/pergola next, then light up my place. I recommend them 100%.

Despite unexpected setbacks, like a fence supply company sending the wrong fence and a hardscape supplier delivering the wrong block, they went above and beyond to ensure we received a stunning fence and a beautiful retaining wall.

From day one, Jake and Steve showcased exceptional professionalism. Their team was punctual, courteous, and excellent communicators. Julio’s expertise in excavation and hardscape install was evident immediately, leaving no doubt about his commitment to his craft and their customers.

Black Diamond's standout quality is their attention to detail. They don't just complete the job; they do it to perfection. Every stone, fence post, and wood piece were meticulously placed, resulting in a yard that exceeded our expectations.

Throughout the project, Jake, Steve, Julio, and their team showed their dedication to excellence and customer satisfaction. They addressed our concerns, answered questions, and incorporated our preferences into the plan creatively. From the first day to the last, their crew arrived at the crack of dawn and worked a full day until we were left with a gorgeous fence and a perfectly aligned retaining wall, which is a testament to Black Diamond's dedication and expertise.

Not knowing any local landscapers, I did a lot of research before finding Black Diamond Landscaping. I saw their finished projects photos and realized how skilled and detail oriented they were. I started out with a basic budget, but soon after I kept changing adding features that we wanted. So expect to have your budget increase as you make major add-ons. Well worth it! Stephen and Jake are highly talented in creating just exactly what you want. Their skills and landscaping knowledge are amazing! Their whole crew were just as dedicated to make you happy and do the job right. I never heard their crew complaining or yelling. Often they were actually singing. They all treated us like their own family. Now this crew is working for You! Make sure to treat them with respect and treat them right. Offer them drinks and the use of your restroom. They are transforming your yard into your Paradise! On a Friday, I bought good pizza and hot wings for everyone, including the office. Treat everyone like you want to be treated. It goes a long ways. When they clean up, you have no idea that they were there. If they by chance damage something, which is bound to happen, they make sure to fix it and make it right. I would give Black Diamond Landscaping 10 Stars if I could. Thank you Steve, Jake and crew for such an incredible yard for us to enjoy.
