My Destination Home looks nice from the outside and is mostly ok on the inside, however the light fixture over the dining room area is way off center, so that you bump your head when getting up. They won’t fix it due to it not being pointed out before we closed. (We bought from another state and were not able to do the walk through in person). Interesting that they did move the light in their model home due to negative feedback. There is a definite lack of attention to details in finishes, such as a scratched up stovetop and sinks and lots of penny pinching when it comes to warranty repairs. We will see if they actually fix the light location… I will definitely post updates.

We like our home and our location but the finish work inside in several places is way below average. Mainly baseboards and door casings. Out of level in several places.3/8-1/2 in gaps between bottom of casing to floors. We built this home in 2006 and I just felt like posting now.the picture represent several of our door casings.

Home buying experience was smooth. Warranty process, not so much. Once you get into the home, good luck. Emails go unanswered. Contractors don’t show up when scheduled. Supplies get left in your yard for months. Stepped on a nail from when they came to fix our stairs. Weeks later the stairs are still sitting there. Moved them off the dying lawn myself. Maybe I can cite them for illegal dumping for this lumber that’s been sitting on the side yard since February. We can’t even seem to get a copy of the paperwork we signed with the checklist of items to be fixed. Not sure if this intentional or not. Just hope you get into a home without too many problems. Maybe they’re short staffed or it’s who they contract with, but the warranty department has some room to grow. At least enough to fill this giant crater under my driveway that we’re still waiting for a fix on.

We had a great experience with Destination Homes in our building process. We are almost done!!! They have stayed on schedule every step of the way and actually look to finish earlier than planned. We enjoyed working with Cortney upfront and she prepared us well to go to their design center and pick out items. Cortney was always quick to respond to our questions no matter how crazy they were. After the design center we started working with Kurt as well. We heard from Kurt at least weekly with updates on our home. We liked that he gave us the what they accomplished each week and then the goals for the next week. We were able to give input and ask questions all along the way without feeling ignored or burdensome. We had a totally different experience than a lot of our friends and actually enjoyed our building process. I think their proactive communication made a big difference and nothing got overblown because we had a chance to talk along the way. So far we feel like we got what we paid for with our home and with the way we were treated. We would recommend them again for sure.

We have loved our experience building with Destination Homes. We were nervous to build during such a crazy time, hearing of insane delays and builders raising costs when a contract has already been in place. Destination was right on schedule and honored our contact. They made it clear that our satisfaction was a priority. The staff were friendly and so great to work with. Gordy, the project manager was great with any issues we saw in the construction. He actually would find things that needed to be fixed before we noticed or could let him know. He was great to make sure everything went in on time and was not just done, but done well. Cortney was amazing to keep in touch throughout the whole process and let us know what was happening weekly. We are thrilled with our new home and have nothing but great things to say about Destination!

We had the ideal experience building with Destination homes. The Agent at the Windmill model home was very friendly and knowledgeable as well as helpful and quick to respond when we had questions throughout the process. We couldn’t believe all the options we had to customize our home as we went through the design center. Our construction manager was also always on top of his game and provided updates and was willing to meet with us when we wanted to go over anything while our home was being built. We are in love with our home and our adorable neighborhood. Destination’s designs are charming and different and their homes are top quality. We looked into building with several other builders but ultimately chose Destination because they came highly recommended from several family and friends who are very happy in their Destination homes. Would not have done anything different!! Five stars!

We recently built with Destination and they were amazing to work with! I always thought that every builder had the same trades and the same quality. Destination proved me wrong. They set very high standards for their trades and they do such great work. They have great floor plans to choose from. I honestly look at my house every day and feel like I built a luxury custom home!

I have been in my new place over a year and it is amazing. I would definitely buy another Destination home. The construction is great and the employees ensure you are happy through the whole process. I personally worked with Courtney and she always made sure everything was on point and if I ever needed anything she was there to help. Thank you for making my home buying experience so easy.
