My wife and I were introduced to Mike Klauck Construction about 3 years ago. After personally meeting Mike and his son, Kris, we took a tour of Mike's Twin Hollow development in Mapleton, Utah. It was the perfect location with the perfect builder for us. Mike took the time to carefully review our building plans that we submitted to him, and he then made some additional recommendations to us. We used each recommendation that he presented---but Mike and his staff continued to make recommendations to us throughout the building process. I would estimate that we utilized at least 90% of their recommendations.

The final product did not disappoint. Whenever we have anyone visit our home, they are so complimentary as to to design, location and craftsmanship of our home. Thank you to Mike Klauck Construction for guiding us through the building process and giving us the home we dreamed of having built.

When our family relocated to Utah from another state, we didn't have our usual contacts or references to rely on when building our new home. We were so happy to find Mike Klauck Construction. They were friendly and personable and quickly became like family to us. Our custom home build was very collaborative and we always felt like a welcomed part of the process. Custom, truly means custom to MKC. When we introduced a new concept in our build that they hadn't seen before, they were eager to jump in and do whatever it took to make it happen without push back. It turned out perfectly. Mike Klauck never cut corners and always went the extra mile to make sure our house was not only beautiful but very well built. Moving from another state while building a custom home was daunting, but Mike Klauck and crew made it seem easy and even fun!

Mike Klauck Construction is simply amazing. If you appreciate the kind of company that you can just shake hands with and trust that they will execute with integrity and honor then this is the company for you. My wife and I had to basically rebuild our custom home after a house fire almost decimated it. Mike Klauck Construction came to our rescue and did the rebuild for us. I can't thank them enough for how they worked with us to put everything back to how we had it or better. There was no song and dance about change orders or extra hidden charges here and there. Everything was up front and communicated well and they worked with us on every request. Particularly with a rebuild from a fire you have to deal with delays from insurance and bank payments. Mike Klauck worked through all of this without causing us any financial heartache. I'm not sure how they managed it but they were truly professionals throughout the whole ordeal. Their staff is full of seasoned veterans who know how to build it right and they do not cut corners. A huge thank you to Don Eldredge who was our Super and managed every detail end to end.
He's amazing and both He and Mike spent time hands on during the project. It's really amazing to work with a staff that also get in and get their hands dirty when they need to. We are forever in debt for the service they rendered to our family and I can't imagine that there is a more honest building company out there than Mike Klauck Construction.

We loved building with Mike Klauck. We got personal, and professional, and insightful advice for our particular lot. They kept our home on schedule as well as giving us a quality home we love. We were able to make our home as custom as we wanted. They always responded quickly and helped guide us through the process of home building. We felt heard when concerns came up. We couldn't have been happier with how everything went and turned out.

We met up with Mike about a lot he had for sale. He was very nice! We were super excited to actually have someone that was going to build our forever home. He told us to send floor plans that would be what we wanted in our custom home for his team to design something for us. Initially he was pretty responsive, but over the next couple weeks, he became very slow to reply. Even when we made it clear to him that we wanted to continue forward with the next steps of meeting with his blueprint designers, we got no replies back.

After nearly a month, my wife sent him a message stating that we were going to look for a different contractor. He finally replied and said he changed his mind about what he was going to do with the property we were interested in. He tried offering us a different lot, but after being ignored for weeks, we were not interested in entering a business contract with him.

While I can’t speak to the quality of his builds, I can say that his poor communication makes me unlikely to recommend him to anyone I know.

Mike Klauck does a great job with custom home construction. They helped turn our rough vision into a beautiful home. We're very happy with the finished product. Every aspect of the home is customized for our wants and needs and we're thrilled with the way it turned out.

If you can dream it, they can build it. The drawback to that is there are so many options and choices – the sky (and your budget) is really the limit – so at times the process can be a bit daunting. Just come prepared and ask lots of questions.

We really appreciate the quality of the finished product as well. Before selecting MK, we considered a few of the big box builders. We were quite surprised that one of them (Ivory Homes) did not include central A/C in their base price. MK included central A/C, cemented crawl space, thicker exterior walls, higher grade windows, etc. in its initial pricing.

Mike Klauck Construction has also been very good about following up with the minor issues we noticed after closing. Their warranty/servicing department has been responsive, conscientious and has not had to come back a second time for any issues they have resolved.

• Honesty and integrity – we felt they were very fair with us and always worked with our best interests in mind
• Made good on every promise – there were no outstanding warranty items, contractor liens, etc.
• Included cemented crawl space and thicker exterior walls in their base price when most other builders were charging extra
• Great ability to adapt our initial plans into something feasible
• Super friendly staff
• Warranty service

Opportunities for Improvement
• A bit more “hand holding” for first-time custom home buyers would make the process easier
Overall, we would definitely recommend MK to anyone looking for a custom home buyer.

My husband & I built a home with Mike starting in January 2020. We were in our home 4 months later! I was nervous building a home because I always heard the typical, “Yes, we like our builder however you’re ‘always’ going to have complaints with any builder - it’s part of the building process” comments. I can honestly say from start to finish we did not have one single complaint. Kris was great helping us decide & laying out all of our options for us with each step. He never made us feel like we were annoying him with questions. Don our superintendent was very thorough & made sure every phase of our home was done correctly the first time. Every employee and subcontractor from MKC was extremely responsive & made us feel like we were a priority to them the entire time our home was being built. Don is very attentive & gets our warranty work (which has been extremely rare because the quality of our home is amazing) done within a few days! DAYS!! We are never left waiting or having to follow up with anyone. We were so happy with our home build we started our basement finish this year & obviously asked them to return and do that for us as well.

My wife and I Loved the entire experience start to finish building with Mike Klauck Construction. MKC is hands down the best there is. Outstanding staff and superintendent who was very informative and hands on every step of the way. If your looking to build a new home, MKC needs to be your builder!
