I made it perfectly clear how much I wanted to spend building my new home. I kept a tight budget and kept track of money going out. Things went well in the beginning until thousands and thousands of extra dollars were being asked by subs. I had asked why the subs weren’t sticking to original bids and wasn’t given a clear answer. I don’t think I had any real bids to start with. This is the very reason I wanted a builder instead of finding my own subs, to keep things on budget. This was the worst experience being powerless against the builders and subs. I Would recommend a bigger builder who gives you the final costs upfront so you know what your getting into. Randy keeps asking what he can do to finish things that he said would be completed by the end of our build, last March or within the one year mark. No one has made efforts to actually finish the tasks.
