TroyDB completely remodeled two of our bathrooms and installed a secondary upstairs laundry. The project involved gutting the bathrooms to the studs, moving a couple of small walls, and some re-plumbing and re-wiring electrical. There were typically two or more people working full days for the entire project timeline, which was about 5 weeks. They also permitted the project and handled all of the paperwork and scheduling with the city. We are very happy with the final outcome!

That's not to say there weren't hiccups and miscommunications along the way - that's to be expected in any major reno project. The reason TroyDB gets 5 stars from us is because they handled issues professionally and worked until all details in the project were correct - including one last concern that came up after the project was completed and paid.

A total remodel of my kitchen in Cottonwood Heights, including demo was done in a month as Ben and Yoel had promised. Their team were at my house almost constantly for a month. All went very smoothly. They all were very professional and knowledgeable. I have had major landscaping done by Yoel and Ben’s . That also went as planned.

I had a great experience working with Joel and team for my kitchen renovation. They fulfilled our each and every wish and made several great recommendations. One of my cabinet was broken and old and had to be redesigned such that it would match. Joel and team worked hard to make sure the new cabinet matched with other old ones. We kept making changes to the project and Joel and team were always supportive and heard and fulfilled our demands. Overall very very happy with them and will be using them in future for any projects.

Many areas were not sanded before painting even tho it was in the contract. Purchased the wrong size of door trim for all doors, and instead of purchasing the correct size added wood under each trim. Spilled paint on the brand new floors and when I asked them to clean it up they said “you’ve had construction in your home you’re going to have to do some cleaning”.They purchase the wrong base boards and confirmed they knew they weren’t the ones I agreed on and were hoping I wouldn’t notice, then blamed me when it caused them to be behind. Damaged the kitchen plumbing by faking attaching a drain to a pipe on the side with no hole for draining and contaminated the drinking water system by filing the air gap with silicone to hide it was leaking. And had a joint they added that was not to code. They refused to pay for the plumbing repairs unless a review was removed. I paid for the plumbing repairs. Many other things I had to push to get fixed that were damaged or not done well or even to code. I would not recommend them.

Troy design and Build did a good job with what I asked them to do. They moved my laundry room up stairs and up dated part of my bathroom. It took longer than expected and cost more than we talked about. But I’m pleased with the results. Tal the project manager did a good job staying on top of the work and keeping me informed.
