I had a poor experience with Stacy Hardy (License# 606784) that may have ranged from a very poor error to deceit.

Feb 1, 2022 - I made an offer on a house listed by Stacy. She informed my agent that the offer was accepted. Stacy informed my agent along the way of the status of obtaining the sellers signatures, all looked positive! After all signatures came in, the last message from Stacy was, “I got xxx’s signature, I’ll have the contract over to you within the hour! “

Within the hour, Stacy called my agent and said she made a huge mistake and accepted another offer. She said she mistook my agent for another agent. After 20 years experience I find this dubious. I contacted Stacy directly, to raise my concern and allow her the opportunity to respond, but she never responded. I contacted her listing broker, Tammi Reeder (owner of RE/MAX), also no response.

A simple error, a deliberate lie, an attempt to mislead (latter two against REALTOR ethics policies)? I will not conclude because I cannot prove it. But if I didn’t have anything to hide, I would want to protect my reputation and she nor her manager seem willing. Even if it were a simple error, I expect more for someone with two decades of experience.
