The CEO is one of the Struever Brothers, which went out of business in Harrisburg, PA before completing a housing development project in a lower income, majority African American city. My home is one of them, and unfortunately for me, it's sunken significantly on one side due to the house being built on soft ground and rubble and not being reinforced. The city deemed my home a public hazard and on the verge of deeming my house uninhabitable, forced me to have the foundation repaired and reinforced. I paid $17,000 out of pocket (and I'm still not finished) with zero assistance and no one to go after. We just change our names and keep on rolling under a new DBA. The engineering firm working with the Struevers were aware and voiced the concern privately, and the building took place anyway unbeknownst to whomever would be living in the house and ultimately holding the bag or God-forbid being injured or killed. You don't get to thrive, and while I suffer quietly. I have receipts and records.
