I am really pleased with the work SHAL Builders did for me. I had my driveway, walkway and front porch re-done. Additionally, SHAL Builders corrected a major water issue I was dealing with by inserting a drain hose underground so that rain run-off would run directly into the street and not in my driveway causing hazardous conditions in the winter. It was amazing to watch the way the team worked together. I was also pleased with the timeframe it took the team to complete the jobs. I am already talking with SHAL Builders about another major project. I would highly recommend them!

I have owned a 80 year old 3-story apartment building on Capitol Hill in Washington DC for the past 20 years. It had an exposed brick wall that was badly in need of re-pointing and repair. Shal Builders was working on a similar building nearby. I was immediately impressed by the professionalism of their work. I asked for and received an estimate to do the re-pointing brickwork and also a complete repainting of the front of the building. The estimate was detailed and very fairly priced. SHAL workers erected the 3-story metal scaffolding and completed the brickwork and exterior painting in a highly professional manner. Their workers and supervisors were excellent by every measure. Shal repaired a 150 year old retaining wall for us. It needed to be done to historical specifications to comply with local Baltimore City codes. They knew what needed to be done, what permits to pull, and how to best make the repairs. They were reasonably priced, did great work and kept us in the loop the entire time. They were always available by phone or text or e-mail and answered all our questions during the bidding phase as well as once the work started. They were professional, courteous and highly skilled.
