I just recently moved into my lovely Stanley Martin home located in Westphalia Parkside in Upper Marlboro and I couldn’t be happier!! Stanley Martin Homes are definitely built with their customer in mind...from the quality, design and options available of their homes to the personnel that walk with the new homeowner throughout the process. Special thanks to my Neighborhood Sales Manager, Nick Degennaro!! Nick was the right person for the job!!! He was very personable, approachable, knowledgeable, communicative ,and attentive! Nick was a major reason why I can say my new home-buying experience with my first Stanley Martin home will not be my last, have been referring him to others, and am elated he was part of my new home buying team!!! I recently closed on my house by Stanley Martin. This would not have been possible if not for Karen Kocher. When I was ready to sign for another builder, I looked around one last time, it was past 6pm on a Saturday when I first stumbled into Stanley Martin, Karen was ready to close the office but nonetheless, she welcomed me in and showed me their models. She stayed till almost 8pm, wearing the same smile and enthusiasm. After I decided on my home, Karen remains as welcoming as the first day I’ve met her. I love my house! The entire team is amazing! My builder Sean Noonan and his apprentice Desmond was very thorough and quick to respond if there were any issues. They also worked with my schedule and were very flexible. I highly recommend to start here when you’re looking for a home.

I truly loved working with Ronnie Bryant of Stanley Martin. Although he was new at the process, he began to learn quickly and helped me tremendously throughout the entire process. I am very glad to work with him...he was such a dear and responded to all of my inquiries. I would recommended him to anyone.

Although the initial experience with Ronnie was great, I have come back to update this post to reflect that I am very dissatisfied with Stanley Martin and their 'partnership' with the HOA Associa Community Management Corporation. For 8 month I complained about my sump pump which ultimately began to run nonstop and it was only at that time did SM do anything. Only to find out the issue was with a pipe on the side walk that burst and had been saturating my lawn for 8 freaking months. After complaining about my backyard having mold, mildew, and killing all vegetation in my back yard, they sent the contractor out to come out only to lay sod with no top soil on top of clay with no treatment...the grass immediately died! Now they are charging me $50 a day which began when it was still cold outside and even after I told them I would fix their mistake after I put my deck and patio in (the work is in progress)....and still I am getting charged. Stay away from the folks if you are living in PGCounty. They are robbing minority communities!

Your assistant neighborhood sales manager for Parkside, Marlboro Pointe and Marlboro Riding is no short of spectacular. Ron Bryant, affectionately known to all as, Uncle Ron, is an exemplary example of customer friendly service. He is such a delight to work with and see him in action managing the tours, the home, the clients, and the paperwork. I have been to visit your neighborhoods on several occasions and I'm always greeted with a huge smile and a loud, "Welcome to Stanley Martin!" I appreciate his kindness and consideration more than you'll ever know. Please reach out to me when this young man makes the management team. So I can bring more business to him. He is sure to bring Stanley Martin years of success in any location you place him. He takes your customers and clients' business very seriously.

We just purchased a new home with Stanley Martin Homes. It's not fully built but hopefully we will be in the home the later part of September. The entire process has been flawless and Nick "the best sales star" answers all questions and is always available 24/7. The builder Jeremy and his team are dedicated to the process. Everytime I visit the Community, I get more excited. Thank you Stanley Martin for making our dreams a reality.

We absolutely love our Lexington model. From start to finish the staff at Stanley Martin were resourceful and professional. We especially connected with Ronnie Bryant. Ronnie is responsive and patient. When I found the purchasing process becoming stressful; Ronnie’s great attitude and confidence placed my mind at ease. I couldn’t recommend him enough for anyone looking for expert knowledge and peace of mind when purchasing a home!

Updated Review: The floor plan is beautiful but the workmanship is not as stated on their website. I’ve tried contacting Headquarters about my complaints (leaks, cracked and fallen drywall, etc.) via USPS signature request mail— they received it and didn’t even bother contacting me. Try another builder as Stanley Martin’s reputation seems to be going downhill. They do not appear to honor what they present on their website or what they present in the process before you go to closing.

Initial Review: I had the pleasure of working with Nick throughout the process of purchasing my Stanley Martin home. From start to present he has remained very responsive, kind, and a constant professional. Thanks Nick!

We have been in our home for nearly 8 months. The floor plan is great however the quality of the work is not. This is not my first new construction home so I am accustomed to nail pops, etc.due to settling. But there are nail pops, and cracks, small and very large, throughout the house. Further, I can see the tape from the dry wall sheets in the walls and ceilings throughout the home. The quality level of the work is very poor. The caulk is coming up in many places in part because wood trim was cut too short and instead of replacing with the correct sized trim, they filled in the gaps with caulk.

Sadly, it seems that many of these issues are not covered under their warranty and will fall on us to have fixed correctly at our own expense.

We recently had closing inspection repairs completed, ~8 months late, and have not had our 60 day repairs addressed though it is nearly time for our 9 month inspection.

I caution prospective buyers to ensure your home is as you want it before settlement even if it means a delayed closing. In our experience, their responsiveness after you close leaves much to be desired.
