I have called, waited on hold for 15 minutes, and then been promptly hung up on, 3 times in a row now. I have tried calling my case manager, Mr. Hammersmith, directly, 3 times, and he has not returned any of my 3 voicemails. I have received a letter saying my benefits are to be cancelled, for a reason that should not apply to me, due to disability, and I have no way of getting in touch with these people. I have received benefits in 4 states, and this has been, by far, the worst experience ive ever had. I guess you can treat people like garbage when they rely on you for food? What does it take to actually speak with someone about my case?

The front desk wasted my time by placing me on the wrong waiting list. When I finally got called (after 45minutes) the caseworker said she couldn't help me because I had been sent to the wrong department. So the front wanted me to wait again for the correct person to come talk to me. I waited 30 more minutes before I had to leave for another appointment

Tina was extremely helpful today! I'm transferring from Washington County and she made the experience easy. I've had bad interactions in the past with the Department of Social Services and I was extremely and nervous coming in today. Thank you for your hard work!

I have PTSD because of my 1st interaction with an employee behind the front desk, of social services! Having previously babysat for the woman, she had some familiarity with my family. Amber Patton greeted me, from behind the front of social services with "all those brothers and sisters and no one will help?"!
I really could have done without the demeaning victim shaming approach, from what should have been, comforting, a familar face in a position of understanding the qualifications, requirements and steps to begin accessing services available.
Now, it has also been over a month since submitting my previous timesheet, had to turn in another but have yet to recieve payment for the previous month. Evidently, paying people for hours worked, is also not of any priority.
Not like gas is expensive, and eggs and milk are practically free, clearly no rush...or she would come ask for food stamps, right! No hurry, the work can't be undone, and she works with an individual who has special needs, not like she will allow us not doing our part to interfere with making sure the family has the help they need, unlike us, she has integrity, that can't be purchased!

I have been calling for 2 weeks now leaving messages and still no return phone call. This is an urgent matter and one would think someone would return a call when it concerns a child's well being. I've already placed numerous calls to states attorney, circuit court, 2 case workers and still nothing. Very unprofessional practice. I live in the state of Florida and cannot get into the office, otherwise I would be there everyday.

Getting through to a live person is not possible. Getting transferred to an automated attendant leads you into a maze that keeps circling around. If you do manage to get transferred to an extension, you have to leave voicemail. To whom are they accountable? How do they get away with this?
